Based on the Icebreaker that @TGN posted yesterday:

The Daily Icebreaker: this New Years, will you be doing anything special?

I don't ever really do anything special...I try to watch the ball drop, and then I just lounge around and mentally prepare for work, since New Years means that the holidays are over and with it my vacation. I suppose to me, New Years isn't a holiday itself, it marks the end of the holidays for another year. v_v

My parents typically work up to New Years and then take the break after, because people are often trying to use up their health insurance at the end of the year. So it's often marked the start of the family vacation for us.

I don't really celebrate anything. I just appreciate the statutory holiday.

Wasn't really planning on doing anything as usual this year, but just found out that Spoon will be playing a concert here in Austin on New Year's Eve up until midnight, so I got some tickets for my wife and me, which I think will be a lot of fun. Always wanted to see them live.

I don't see any reason to celebrate New Years so I don't (I see it as just another year of life that probably won't be just as horrible as other years). I just treat it like any other day, my parents will probably do some celebrating though.

So basically nobody will celebrate except Gerrick, and that's coincidental. We're such a dire bunch.
