The RP and government areas of the forums have been particularly inactive over the past year, so tonight I reorganized them to better reflect their activity and hopefully make the forums a bit easier to comprehend for newer people. I've merged the government and worldbuilding forums into a single category,
The Land of Wintreath. The idea is that Wintreath is an actual place where things happen in different locations in two categories: government and private.
Frosthold Castle is now our single forum/location for government discussion, merging the old Frosthold Castle, The Citizens' Platform, and the Civil Service). With the fall of the Storting, the distinction between Frosthold Castle and The Citizens' Platform was less clear, and neither forum was very active. On the civil service end, my thinking is that general Civil Service topics will appear in the merged areas, with more specific areas being created as needed such as the Discord channel that already exists for the Hearthkeepers. The law codex and foreign consulates were also merged into Frosthold Castle as subforums, because they're niche government-related areas that are not very active.
On the other end, The Wonderful World of Wintreath is the space for private locations, such as The Cathedral of the Holy Tuber. My idea is that Citizens will be able to create and maintain location subforums with krone, and we could add things like family and adoption spaces as well, which makes up a lot of the forum currently. I feel like with some TLC this could be an area would could have a lot of fun with. Other non-Wintreath RP areas have been archived, but as there haven't been any posts in them in over a year they shouldn't be missed. If there's interest in a forum RP in the future, they can still take place in the Amalya Quarter, but there's no reason to have 2 dead forums for it right now.
As an idea, it's still a work in progress. The structural changes are done, but I need to go through both forums and organize them in a way that's easier for newer people to understand and participate in, as well as specify how the subforum-renting idea will work. I believe with some polish and promotion though, both forums can become fun places to do creative things in.
