What should be the theme for this year's Summersend Festival?

It's time to start planning for this year's Summersend Festival! In case you don't know, Summersend is Wintreath's annual culture festival celebrating (for those of us in the northern hemisphere) the coming end of the summer with a week jam-packed with forum games, Discord games, spam games, RPs, and other activities with our fellow Wintreans as well as our friends from other communities.

For the past several years, we've had themes for the Summersend Festival -- including Wintreath National Park, Culinary Survival Guide, Spooky Summer, and Tropical Beach Cove -- which help give life to the many events that take place during the festival. Now we're opening up nominations for this year's theme!

Just like with the Avatar Theme of the Month, post below any ideas you have for what the theme should be. Nominations will last until Friday, July 30, and then voting will take place in this thread.

As much as I love Lush forests and Camp Wintreath, I have a feeling they'd be more or less similar to last year's State Park theme, so I'll support Oceans (which we can do tropical or underwater), Paralympians, and Wild West.

I think Oceans will probably in practice be a bit too close to the Beach Cove thing from a few years ago. But if we go a different route then that might be a good theme.

I find Paralympians to be a bit of a weird one for us to take because we aren't particularly a disability community and I don't really want to appropriate from them.

I think Camp Wintreath and Wild West might be good concepts to work with.

I completely forgot about the beach theme we had.  But again, we could go the other route with oceans and make it an Underwater festival.  Have the Coral Reef Tavern, a mermaid kissing booth, spam counting with fish, a mini Werewolf where the bad guys are sharks, Turtle Haikus, Atlantis Skyscraper, etc...

It looks like the winning theme for this year's Summersend Festival is the Oceans! Like Michi pointed out, we'll probably go closer to an underwater theme rather than a beach theme since we already did that one year.

And (definitely not because I forgot to put up an Avatar Theme of the Month thread earlier...) I'm declaring this month's avatar theme to also be the Oceans! So let that inspire you to change your forum avatars for the festival.
