Landsraad Chancellor Election
Vote here!

Voting for the Chancellor elections are now open! To vote, please rank the candidates listed below in order from most to least preferred. You may vote "Abstain" in place of any candidate that you don't wish to vote for at all. You may post your ballot in this topic, or PM it to me if you wish for your ballot to remain private. Ballots will be counted and the results given at the end of the election on 14 May 2021.

Watch Tau become chancellor if it ties between Doc and me. 

The elections have closed! There were a total of 13 votes, including 4 private votes, and the results were very close...here are the results based on first preference votes.

The first round nearly tied, which would have taken us to a second round that would have seen taulover removed from the ballot and his 1st preference voters have their 2nd preference applied. If that had happened, Laurentus would have still won the elections, as both people who voted taulover had Laurentus as their 2nd preference. Either way, this system seems promising for quickly resolving ties without things headed to a run-off.

In any case, congratulations to Laurentus on becoming the Landsraad's first Chancellor! I will get the permissions and everything in as soon as I can, probably later today...I didn't want to hold up the results any longer, though.

Edit: Oh yeah, absent a challenge this term will run until August 14th with elections starting on August 1st, as per Section 5 of the procedural rules.
