  • Thank goodness for Discord pings.

Also wowie the insanity thus far.

So it seems to me that the "cult" mentioned in the description bit is kinda like the scum of a regular game and set people on fire?
should we trust the flavor? as far as we know it could just be nonsense lol

I do agree there's likely to be a cult at some point though

if anyone has a day role could they try using it now? it would tell us if we have an even number of parties

my current theory is that we don't have any parties at the moment and might only have maybe indepts

I'm not fully sure of my alignment to be honest but I don't think I'm mafia?

  • There are 3.5 alignments in the game: the party-going town members, the cult (I'm guessing this game's scum), the horrors (probably a very small independent team), and "time" (I'm assuming is not a player but the concept itself). "Parties" in this game are not synonymous with "alignments" -- I'm guessing they're some sort of event that occur every third day (as per rule 10).

  • I... I'm don't think I'm any of the alignments that were mentioned in the final generation post though?

And my role PM says there's no scum and that there's no point looking for them, what should I make of that?

  • *I don't think

Also I know one player who might become a threat at some point but for now I think they're under control. I'm not sure if their alignment fits any of the ones in the final generation post though :psyduck:

I think we may be the same alignment? I'm not sure what that means though. Haha. I'm unsure how to approach this game at the moment.
I feel like it may be a bit better to get going d2 once we see more of what will happen.

It's interesting Gerrick said party-going town members when in the signups post that alignment was listed as Party wolf villagers. I'm thinking party wolf villagers are the "town" though and the cult is "scum" here.

  • Hmm, intriguing.

Melehan and Laurentus may have a fix to their post restriction if they make use of Rule 11 possibly. (free abilities at EoD may be taken instead of your own)

I'd like to believe Ex/Minish are both pro-town and aligned, but Rule 15 is a thing. (do not believe anything ever)

I think Minish's interest in Gerrick's statement is well-founded. There are 5 little paragraphs in the OP, the last one seems like a general statement perhaps while the previous 4 (3.5 alignments, remember?) seem to be stating all the alignments that exist. Gerrick, you can be inferred to not be the first alignment listed, is this true?

  • I'm wondering if everyone in the different groups are fully aligned. After all a bot made all of this so it's possible each of us, while aligned with different groups may have different winning conditions.

  • As far as I can see the cult has a goal of lighting the other players on fire. Which, my best guess would be is the same as a night kill and that a few of the party(town)folk can block by dowsing them with water, maybe glitter? And as far as I can tell getting dowsed with glitter means if you die you come back as part of a different group.

  • Something else to note is the last line of the first paragraph.

You see, wolves like to party, and the association cannot be seen supporting this action.
Who is this association? Minish mentioned that the Party Wolf Villagers, who I'm assuming as the wolves that like to party, are probably town. Does that mean the association is scum and just another term for the cult? I'm not quite sure what to make of it.

lol I think we are yea
my role saying there's no scum means cult is inactive for now then?

I know someone who might be it maybe

  • I find Gerrick's assessment the most likely in terms of what the alignments are with exception to Time. Given the flavor, the Party Wolf Villagers definitely seem like the typical town alignment for this game. The Cult of the Burning Town is probably the association that was mentioned in the flavor that wants to stop the Villagers before things become normalized in a way they don't like.

I could see the Unaffiliated Horrors from Space being a group of independents that may have loose ties. As for Time, I doubt it is just the concept itself. It is an alignment, even if only half one of one, so either someone is tied to it, or it may have tendrils in the various other alignments in some way (potentially having to do, as Gerrick mentioned, with the concept wrt to players or events are various points). That's my speculation.

    @NyghtOwl:

Fully aligned to one alignment, yet have a different win condition per their role? If something like that were the case, I'd assume that'd be specific to the Unaffiliated Horrors from Space. They are unaffiliated after all as opposed to, for example, the Party Wolf Villagers. Course Time could be a factor.

  • By the by, Ex, turning down my pinky promise to be friends hurts. That's like the only way I could think of to show you I mean you no harm.

There's only one reason I can imagine that you'd turn down such a promise.

You don't want to be friends with a fellow Villager.

I just don't want to be restricted if things turn out to not be what they seem. If I pinkie promise anything here and you turn out to be scum or gets glitter revived then what the fuck am I supposed to do?

And we both know our history isn't the best one. You like to drag me to the mud even if that means you losing too.

  • I said friends, Ex. Not a mutal agreement not to harm each other till the end of time.

Why would you even jump to that conclusion?
