A Word from the Monarch
So much happens in Wintreath in the course of a week that sometimes it's hard to keep track of everything, especially if you're not glued to the forums or Discord. The Frosty Bugle aims to cut through the chatter to summarize what's going on in Wintreath every week, so you everything from what the government is doing to what's open for you to get involved with right now! If there's a forum topic about anything listed, a link to it will be included in case you want to read more about it or get involved with it. Finally, the Bugle will list new general discussion topics that started in the last week, so you can check them out and reply if you'd like.

I hope that this bulletin will make Wintreath feel a little less overwhelming and a little easier to get involved with, especially if you're new or have never really been involved in our community before. Once you get started somewhere, I think you'll find it's not as overwhelming as it might seem at first. Either way, have a great week and as always, stay frosty.

What’s Happening Now
Sign-Ups for Wintreath’s First Botwolf Game are open!
Botwolf is Werewolf with the theme, roles, and rules being determined by a bot! That means this game will be set to maximum chaos and will be an experience unlike any Werewolf game in Wintreath before. If you’ve played Werewolf in Wintreath before and you’re looking for a new experience, I recommend you sign up! If you’ve never played Werewolf and would like to get involved, check out the information at the top of our Werewolf forum so you better know what you’re getting into. Signups will be open until May 2nd!

Voting is Open for Mafia Championship Representative
Every year, the Mafia Universe website hosts a championship game for Werewolf players in dozens of communities, including ours. As part of the process, we select a player to send to the games from people who have played recent Werewolf games in Wintreath. Our candidates for this year are @Legacy of Smiles, @Melehan, and @Laurentus, all well-known in our Werewolf scene as skilled players who I’m sure would make Wintreath proud if selected. If you would like to vote, you can do so at the link above until April 29th!

Discussion on Selection of Chancellors is Open
The Chancellor will be responsible for administering the Landsraad, Wintreath’s new legislature made up of all Citizens! The current draft calls for a dual election-challenge system, which can either be called by successfully challenging the incumbent or after 3 months if there is no successful challenge. The draft will remain available for input and changes for several more days before being finalized with the goal of having our first nominations start on May 1st!

Minecraft Nights Begin!
There’s no forum topic associated with this one, but if you’re into Minecraft join us every Friday night on the Minecraft server for fun with friends! We had our first night last Friday, and it included everything from tours of a few bases and projects to taming a black cat and then saving it from spawn protection! We start at 9PM Eastern and continue until everyone has to leave, so feel free to join us at any point during the night!

Vroendal Wins Wintreath’s Finest!
@Vroendal won Wintreath’s Finest for March 2021 by unanimous consent, having been the only candidate suggested by the community for his impact in the recent Lil’ Werewolf game. He also has a reputation for being one of the most wholesome members of the community, and is a friend to many among us. For winning Wintreath’s Finest, Vro won 1 krone (our regional currency) and the right to have his name on the forums and Discord in a colour of his choice! Congratulations to him!

A New Look for Forums
On April 23rd, we rolled out a redesign of the page that lists topics in each of our forums that focuses on making the page easier to read and understand, being more mobile-friendly, and being more helpful for new members. The biggest new feature is the ability to add information about each forum at the top of the page, which can include everything from helpful links to any special rules for each forum! I hope that these changes will make it easier to get involved on our forums.
