My name is Joe Bobs, I started playing NS back in '04 / '05, in a region called Q102 and the GRA, and also founded an inter-regional group called ARC. I went inactive but returned in the GRA renaissance of '10, then went inactive, and have now returned again!

I'm now Foreign Affairs Minister for the GRA which is undergoing a relaunch. I'm just being a bit of a tourist at the moment and Wintreath is a region I'm not familiar with, but was eager to come visit.

How is everyone?

We're well, taking life one day at a time. Though we're pleased to learn of GRA's relaunch, as we would be with any region so historically significant, I am going to have to temporarily deny you an embassy. Only because you didn't fill out the entire form though. The second half is for those applying for the creation of an embassy, you see.

Hope to see the second half of that form soon, and we'll get your embassy up and running! ;D

No of course, I think it would be premature for me to put in an embassy request, we're only just beginning our relaunch. I'm more just being a nosy tourist at the moment!

Perhaps there has been a misunderstanding...one can't be an ambassador from a region that doesn't have embassies with us, as the establishment of embassies is the process for regions to establish relations with each other. If that weren't the case, anyone from any region could request masking as an ambassador without the support of their government.

If you want to be a tourist, Citizenship/ambassadorship isn't required to participate in the cultural areas of our region...the Howling Wind Tavern, General Discussion, or Valley of the Spammage forum. You should be fine there without any further masking.

Yes that's fine - apologies for the confusion, it's just I couldn't see any introduction threads that didn't begin with ambassador or citizen applications, hence I thought that was the desired format. But not to worry, I don't need any change in masking for now, thankyou.

I suppose it's understandable...in all my time here and previously in Spiritus, we've never had someone that just wanted to be a tourist.

Thankyou for the welcomes, and I can now make things simpler. Things have moved along nicely and quickly in the relaunching of the GRA, so I can now properly request an embassy!

1) What made your region decide to pursue relations with Wintreath? - As Foreign Affairs Minister, I am keen to expand our relationships across the game, and Wintreath is a region with which we have not previously had contact, so I think it would be interesting for our members to explore somewhere new and meet new people.

2) How do you feel our regions can help each other in the future? - On a most basic level, by learning from one another, sharing ideas and experience. Who can say what the future may bring? Hopefully a relationship that rewards both regions.

3) What is your region's military stance? (defender, raider, imperialist, neutral, etc) Defender

Also, Dr Strangelove is one of my favourite films of all time. It recently moved into second place on my list after spending the last 10 years at the top!
