Not that I have any real say here (one of the points of this
), but sometimes I feel like we regularly have group nominations because people don't want to have to choose an individual. The thing is, I feel like when you nominate a group, the accomplishments of each individual aren't recognized as fully as if they were nominated on their own because their accomplishments tend to get shuffled into the group.
Red Mones put in a shitload of time and effort on this game. It was his baby, from having the idea for the theme some time ago to its conclusion this month. He did the work of running each turn, and I know he had to make some tough decisions at times in the process...especially as a new host, Red Mones did a spectacular job, and I look forward to his future games.
I think Ruguo's contributions are on a broader level. Besides helping Red Mones plan the game out and being there for him when he needed help, their biggest role has been to elevate the Werewolf scene in Wintreath overall. Ruguo is an incredible Werewolf game designer, and by having a hand in making the mechanics of each game more interesting, diverse, and chaotic they've turned Werewolf games from being something we like to have fun with once in awhile to true events that people get excited about and enjoy playing.
So I think it would be easy to lump them together, but each can stand on their own merit and makes for a challenging choice. Which stands out more, RM's incredible job planning and running the game or Ruguo's guiding hand in making Werewolf games like this one as incredible as they are?
