My name is pretty simple . I’ve always been fascinated by ancient history and mythology, as well as fantasy and science-fiction books, so I wanted to find a name that would encompass those things. Excalibur was the one I found.

I use different names elsewhere. When I first looked around NS without having a nation, I stumbled upon Wintreath and liked the aesthetic vibes I got from the region. I then went to create a nation, and the thought process was something along the lines of...

"What's something to do with winter?" -> colour white

"What's something to do with a powerful country?" -> empire

"What makes those two words sound better?" -> German translation

Put them together, you have White Empire but written in German, who had that historical decade or so where they were all about the whole Aryan Race thing. Not my proudest moment.

It does seem to be a rather unfortunate coincidence.

I'm curious...you've talked this unfortunate coincidence for a long time now. Have you ever considered changing your username/nation? I don't think your username is a big deal in this community cause everyone knows better, but is it a big issue with you?

There's a black guy I know from the south who said in the south, they call black people "Red Bones", but because of his accent, it sounds like he's saying "Red Mones". At the time I thought this was soooooooo funny, so I ended up using it as a username for something, and haven't stopped since. My username is basically racist.

I've basically known you as Red ever since you changed it on Discord, so it works

I came up with it as a fantasy character for my original novel that will be finished by 2199. Not sure how exactly it got there, but I probably spammed some letters and got something close to Zemas, eventually changing it slightly to Zemas for its current form.

I use all kinds of names everywhere because I like that feeling of anonymity.  Originally my name here was Kane Lives! which I decided on just because of my liking Command & Conquer.  My first change was removing the exclamation mark from the name (an unusual moment where I made it easier for other people to do something relating to me).  Eventually I changed it to Imaginative because I like to think and have an active imagination so I can be imaginative (even if I am not all that creative).

Generally I tend to pick self deprecating names for myself when I change my name but I do use other names that are references to various things.  Other names I have used elsewhere relate to Command & Conquer and others have other origins (mostly names that I am not remembering right now).

I always love to tell people the story. Kohnhead is based off of "The Coneheads" which was a series of sketches on Saturday Night Live, and Kohnhead is pronounced the same. I had ancestors who's last name was Kohn so it's a play on Conehead and a way to honor them.

Just found out that the ancient ruins that I explored as a kid right outside my grandparents' hometown in Italy is called (or at least one variation is) Gerion... Fuckin' trippy, man.

Because I changed my username I thought I should do a follow-up post
On NS I found A issue that named my space program TGN, I saw it and said: "how the [REDACTED] didn't I think of this?" So in the RMB, I started calling myself TGN then it caught on when I moved to the forums, eventually I thought my username was to long, so I taught "TGN is popular in the RMB, WHY NOT HERE "
So that's when I got my updated username, now I must go to health class.
