I hope that you're not implying that you waited to force open voting so that only your vote would count. This is exactly why the Fundamental Laws call for me to supervise the selection of the Speaker. I apologize that I've been busy the last few days, and technically speaking on a legal level you are correct (there's no requirement for the Monarch to open elections, only to open nominations), but on a personal level I am dismayed.
Fortunately, this does not alter the outcome of the vote...it looks like Crush would have won either way, so congrats to him.
