Here is my entire campaign platform:
“Don’t vote for me cause I won’t do my job. I’m just trying to keep my access to the secret cabinet chats.”

1) Why are you running for this position?
To keep my access to the cabinet discussions.

2) What do you aim to accomplish as thane? As part of this, you must include at least one thing that you promise to do beyond the minimum listed duties of the position during your term. It should be measurable, so that it's black and white whether you fulfilled this mandate at the end of the term if you are elected.
I aim to do none of the responsibilities required of a thaneship. The measurable goal is this: post in the discord with a red name because of cabinet permissions.

2a) If you are an incumbent running for re-election, did you fulfill your mandate from the September election? If not, why didn't you?
Well I was Thane of Integration this term. I did not fulfill my mandate because I am a piece of garbage. This failure makes me very qualified to make a campaign about doing none of my responsibilities.

3) What qualifications or experience do you have in the area that you are running in?
I play video games and I’ve been part of regional Town of Salem games. Also, I’m very good at doing nothing in a government position...

4) How do you plan to have the time to fulfill the duties of the position until the next election?
I don’t.

5) Are you currently a part of any other NationStates regional or organizational government? If so, please include those regions and positions.
I’m at the end of my term as Thane of Integration, but that’s it.


I want to make it clear that a vote for me is a vote for a thane to do literally none of his thane responsibilities. Don’t expect more from me. If I get voted in, that’s not my fault.
(Gotta hope that again, Ruguo doesn’t ruin the fun and allows this )

Just when you start to think that Jarl campaign approvals are not really necessary.

In fairness, there's a lot of people in NS who run for positions for reasons like this and aren't nearly as honest about it. That doesn't change the fact that they're the wrong reasons, but at least you're not alone, lol.

You should have not been allowed to 'accidentally not do anything' to begin with. When it became apparent that you weren't active early in the term, someone should have reached out to determine why that was and try to work with you to get you going. Then if that didn't help after a time, you should have been removed so someone more interested in the position could be appointed, such as Hapi (who has openly discussed their interest in Integration the entire term). The fact that you were allowed to be inactive the entire term is a failure of the people who should have been supervising you, including myself. It's not how the region should actually be running. v_v

One of my goals for the new term is to do a better job of managing the Cabinet. Especially when there's a lot going on, I tend to get caught up in the details of trying to get tasks done myself and forget that my primary job as Monarch is to manage the Cabinet to enable them to get the tasks done.

Even if I thought it was a good idea to so casually overrule Jarls, I agree with Silv on this one. Culture has easily been the hardest hit ministry this last term, and having someone in there who won't even commit to doing anything doesn't help them or the region as a whole. It's fine as a joke campaign, but as a serious campaign it's almost insulting to people who have worked their asses off.

That’s fair, but I definitely share some of the blame for not asking that I get a replacement when I realized I wouldn’t be active.

I’ll just leave this as a joke campaign. I might try to host a couple of game nights as a regular citizen to see if I could keep up with something like that, but I won’t make this a serious campaign. I hope someone who actually wants this position runs.

so no rebellion by the masses or anything. Somebody else deserves this position more than I do. Plus there wasn’t actually much goss by the time I joined.
