My first post here is going to be a quick rundown of Microsoft's Series X "gameplay" reveal for 3rd party games.
The format for this post will be my initial reactions along with my personal hype level and overall hype level.
Personal hype level is how excited I am personally about the game it's contented and what I think. The overall hype level is more an overall view of how the game looks and what that means for the future of gaming in general.
Let's get started.
Bright Memory Infinite 
Initial reaction: Who is this anime Lara Croft? Why did she steal Kit from Hasselhoff and why is this game so damn gorgeous? Also this was made by one person. One single person. In China.
Personal Hype: 6/10
I'm not the biggest shooter fan. I rarely finish Ganges in this style but I'm keeping an eye on this because it's gorgeous and if it has a rock solid story I might give it a chance especially to support this dev.
Overall Hype: 10/10
One guy made easily the most beautiful game ohh the entire event and this game shows actual gameplay I think? Either way it looks pretty, the effects were smooth and it ran clean. This opening got me so hype for next gen.
Dirt 5 Initial reaction: Why are they playing a Forza horizon trailer that's first party. Oh wait this is dirt? Oh. Well than.
Personal Hype: 5/10
Dirt just isn't my game. However this was pretty the cars were stunning. The multiple locales were all pretty cool. For me though this just gets me excited for Forza to be revealed.
Overall Hype: 8/10
I think it's gorgeous and if all next gen games are this pretty that's good for console gaming.
Scorn Initial reaction: This trailer just looks like a developer trying to imitate Kojima to me...like I dunno what happened but also unlike Kojima games I just don't care either.
Personal Hype: 0/10
To me this is the biggest flop of the event. What is this? Why do I care? There was nothing here.
Overall Hype: 0/10
This does nothing to get me excited about the series X or next gen because there's nothing here.
Chorus Initial reaction: What's Chorus and why does it have a V in the logo?
Personal Hype: 7.5/10
I don't normally like space based fliers but not for lack of trying. I want to like them I just never get into them. I'll be keeping an eye on this at least.
Overall Hype: 4/10
Another short trailer with little in the way of actually getting people to get hyped for next gen but the visuals were good enough that I was a little excited at least.
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 Initial reaction: Welcome to the time machine back to 360 era. Enjoy your stay.
Personal Hype: 9/10
I'm excited for a new Bloodlines game. I'm excited for the story and this trailer doesn't take that away. In fact the trailer itself to me was actually a bit clever.
With that said...this game is ugly. But I play Fallout so graphics aren't everything.
Overall Hype: 3/10
Its not a total loss they aren't hiding what its going to look like at least. It's ugly. It looks like a 360 game. Why show this on your initial Series X showcase this isn't going to excite anyone. I don't get it.
Call of the Sea Initial reaction: Call of the (Cthulu) Sea. I think this is a Lovecraft inspired adventure game? Maybe? Why don't these trailers tell me anything?
Personal Hype: 7/10
I'd be more hyped if I had anything to go off. The art style is gorgeous the little hints at what this game is intrigue me I'll keep my eye on it
Overall Hype: 7/10
It's gorgeous. But otters really just another bite sized taste in trailer form.
The Ascent Initial reaction: Is this a twin stick shooter? Is this an rpg? Is this a coop shared world experience? (Probably not) but who knows certainly not anyone who watched this.
Personal hype:8.5/10
I'm highly intrigued by this game. It looks like a twin stick shooter rpg hybrid with friends and the story are least mildly catches my fancy. Another game I'll be looking for more info on.
Overall Hype: 7.5/10
There's accrual gameplay here and it looks nice enough. I mean it's prettier than Mass Effect Andromeda was.
The Medium Initial reaction: What even?
Personal Hype: 5/10
That soundtrack was fantastic but I rarely enjoy horror games. However I'm intrigued by the psychological horror aspect.
Overall Hype: 7/10
It's pretty again. The coolest thing is getting the composer from Silent Hill to make your horror soundtrack. Like hype that for sure.
Scarlet Nexus Initial reaction: This game just absolutely stole the show. Damn.
Personal Hype: 11/10
This is so cool. This is so pretty. Psychic anime ninjas!
Overall Hype: 9/10
It's gorgeous. The art style is so nice. The effects are vibrant and beautiful. This is what the whole event needed to be.
Second Extinction:
Initial reaction: Turok that you?
Personal Hype: 3/10
I just really don't care
Overall hype: 8.5/10
It looks really good. I feel like that's all I've been saying but like everything's a 1 minute trailer…
Yakuza: Like A Dragon Initial reaction: Can...can I call an orbital strike upon my enemies?
Personal Hype: 10/10
This is the stupid dumb gorgeous fun I want.
Overall Hype: 9/10
Particle effects. Broken glass. Gorgeous visuals. A giant gorgeous crab. Oh and particle effects. Next gen is here lol.
AC: Valhalla Initial reaction: Booooooooooo.
Personal hype: 4/10
This is just a personal gripe. I have hated Assassin's Creed ever since ancient Japan beat America in a poll for the next AC setting and they made America anyways. I will never support AC till I get Japanese AC.
Overall hype: 8/10
Those eyes though. It's pretty again. But there was no gameplay.
Overall event hype: 6/10
This didn't blow me away but it wasn't disastrous. Not having much gameplay at a gameplay reveal is...perplexing. Overall this didn't sway me in either direction much.
