CHANKU FOR UNDERHUSEN

So I'm running for the Underhusen again! Here is why you should vote for me:

• I have the most experience, I've been awarded the Commendation for my work with the law.
• Likewise I'm the "Defender of the Just"
• Additionally, I introduced a majority of our current law, or helped draft it. I've provided legal advice to the government at times as well.
• I intend to try to introduce my Judicial Reforms this session, as they should be finished soon.
• I intend to introduce a 'New Members Committee' of sorts within the Underhusen, to give new members a space to propose ideas and laws to the Underhusen is a bit more of a friendly environment.
• I am the longest serving Citizen of Wintreath (outside of Wintermoot), with Citizenship that has not lapsed at all in over 7 years!
• I have ran in every Underhusen Election!

In the name of poor, bashful candidates, I implore you to explain what the title "Defender of the Just" means to you as a long-serving Wintreath politician.

In the last several months, you've referred to the people as "idiots" and had several other outbursts that lead to the Storting formally censuring you, the first time it had censured an official in the history of the region. Beyond that, many people expressed the feeling that you should have been punished further to the point of feeling that you wasn't due to favoritism. You were then removed from the Cabinet in December, in part because of an outburst toward Peipr when he created an unofficial Wintreath subreddit.

This is the first competitive election you've been in since then. Given all that, do you feel that you deserve to return to government so soon? Why or why not?

First off Politician is a bit of a misnomer, I'm a legislator. Politics plays less of a part here than most places in NationStates. However, it was given to me for non-political reasons: I defended Wintreath against unjust and incorrect allegations and actions. To me it signals I'm willing to stand up for what I think is right, and I'm not willing to quietly shut-up when something is wrong.

Seriously though, I could argue the censure wasn't the first. Technically, you could argue that Govindia's Revocation was the first Censure, albeit mine was the first 'toothless' censure. In any case, regarding my outbursts and everything else: I'm unsure whether or not my feelings particularly matter. If the Wintrean People want me elected, they will elect me. This was something certain shown this past session where I got elected, kept my seat, and even became Speaker even though I did not deserve it, nor really want it. I run every election anyway.
