So, I know these were mostly used for NS treaty fulfillment, I know they are not used anymore. However, i propose we reinstate them, but as monikers. I thought we could use these to drive folks to participate in more RP's or take part in more governing discussions.

For instance: Being a member of the Hvitt Riddaral would mean that you have participated in "X" amount of RP's.
Achieving the Rank of "Menig" would be participation and completion of 1 Roleplay. The next rank would be 5 Rp's Etc, Etc.

The Skydande Vakt could be the same but only with a different subject. So on a so forth. It could be used in special role plays much like houses are right now. Anyway, just an idea to reuse something old and make it new. What do you think?

Or better yet, the Skydande Vakt could be for people who participate in Multiple Things. (RP's, Political Discussions [Like the one were having now], etc etc) So if your JUST an RP person, then you'd be in the HR, but, if you RP and Participate in Legal discussion, you aquire the first rank is the Skydande Vakt.

I'm concerned that people by using those names people might get confused and believe we're building a R/D military again.

But I see what you're going for...actually, we recently passed a law allowing for regional clubs and organizations, and I wonder if something like this would be great for guild ranks. I imagine it would add flavor and the opportunity for advancement.

I don't really agree with this, the main reason being is a mixture of what Wintermoot said, and also the fact that technically the SV still exist, just as a pile-ing force that can be called forth.

Further, that I don't really see a need to steal the ranks of the Military for other things that aren't military, and can probably just use other titles, and it makes a bit less sense to use Military ranks for something absolutely non-military.

Well the intention was to offer people accolades (a lot like military positions being given to powerful people in the past who, otherwise, would not have gotten said position. Its simply an idea to promote activity...and come on, everyone likes accolades. 

I was a proponent of recreating the HR but now seeing some reactions I can understand how recreating this military may not be the best idea in terms of our regional identity. However, the idea of it being a club or created in some other way would be nice. I think it is a nice part of older Wintreath traditions and it would be cool to bring it back and maybe create some more involvement in the region.
