Hi folx, I'm posting this in general discussion rather than in any of the RP boards just because I don't want to be cluttering up the ic or creation threads and areas or anything with a post asking how do I do RP.

I joined Wintreath since that kind of stuff appealed to me but I really have no clue as to the background, scale, complexity of either of the three RP things here. Are they completely separate to nation States? I've glanced at the stuff over there but I haven't fully read any of the boards yet and I dunno if I'd be able to get all caught up on them (I don't have much time right now but I will properly read some of the pinned stuff later)

Hey there! I have to admit I'm not really a RPer, but I'll do my best to answer your question.

All of our "serious" and reasonably active forum RPs are in the Gathering Portal, and usually they don't have any relation to NS nations or stats (although they could if the loremaster (host) of the RP wanted it to). The way it basically works is that you sign up for a RP in the sign-up topic, and then the loremaster helps you get started in the RP given the current situation going on in it.

Good to see a new RPer! Our most recently active RP, Deep Space Wintreath, unfortunately seems to have gone on hiatus. But the RP Guides is a great place for info on RPs in Wintreath and might answer some questions. And the Guild Halls has links to all of our RPs that have been archived, if you're interested.

Who specifically did you ask? I remember you mentioning maybe doing a Discord RP if there was enough interest, but I never heard anything else about that.
