[Which of the following RP options would interest you?]

Which of the following RP options would interest you?

Wintreath Space Expeditions III (basically Star Trek Bridge Crew RP)

Historical Nations Roleplay (any historical period Nation RP)

Contemporary Nation Roleplay

Futuristic Nation Roleplay (incl. Galaxy-wide Galactic RP possibility)

Other (please specify in comments)

It is BraveSirRobin here with a question—is there interest in creating a Wintreath Space Expeditions III or some form of Nation Roleplay for the Roleplay Gathering, which is at present looking a bit forlorn. 

If so, I'd be willing to either make or aid in the construction of one of these RPs. 

Alternatively, we could try to do another sort of Interstellar Nations roleplay, but I think that there may already be one going on the NH RMB which already has Wintreath approval so that might not be perfect.  Not sure which would generate the most activity, so for now I'll just attach a poll with several options and we'll go from there!!

Yeah, but mostly because I'm not wanting to infringe on existing RPs/have hosting preferences myself.  In theory we could do a Middle Earth hybrid character/nation RP, or we could have a hybrid RP in pretty much any of these scenarios, but they could possibly be hard to do considering the new-concepts-inherently-flimsy thing. 

I'd be open to more stuff as well though, if people want to suggest things/host their own!!

I would suggest a different character RP but I don't have much RP experience.  Just enough to know that if I participated in one, it probably wouldn't be a Star Trek or nation one.

I just thought of what could be some interesting RP settings or stories to make an RP from.  Something similar to the show 24, and something based off the Animorphs books.

Creating factbooks and bureaucracies can actually be quite a fun exercise, especially creating governmental systems I find.  But as far as character RPs go I'm not too familiar with show 24 or animorphs, so I would definitely not be the one to go for those sorts of RPs, but I definitely still want to get things going on the idea of new roleplays generally (including but not limited to also completely novel settings, formats, etc)

Okay I'm going to bump this discussion again just to see if I can get a bit more interest because I would prefer slightly more before I devote time to creating a Wintreath Space Expeditions III and an Nation Roleplay lol

Plus I need the ties on Nation RPs to be broken so we can get a time period lol

I think it would be awesome to do another Wintreath Space Expeditions III, but given that I was not originally part of I or II, I didn't know how to capture the spirit of the RP in question. I would love to be a part of III if it gets put together. I can also help with the construction.

II was an abortion, we did jack shit in it and it died 5 pages in because the region was looking like it was gonna crumble into dust. good times, good times.

Yes the trick is to try and get enough of a player base for it so that sort of unfortunate inactivity doesn't happen this time.  Basically if we could get more people in it we could possibly keep it more active than last time.  Additionally, I was thinking that this one could possibly be more DS9-style, which would give us a bit better option for adding people who want to join.  Just an idea though, I haven't fully fleshed that sort of thing out yet! 

A DS9 style adventure on a station would probably work better. I remember one of the constraints for the first expedition was getting people who did not sign up before the start in (like my character).
