Hello, everyone. Given that our term is almost up and there appears to be no pressing legislation that requires our attention right now I wanted to take this moment to say a few words before the end of our term.
I want to start off by saying that, in my first tenure as Speaker, I really had no idea what to expect. I'm happy to say, however, that I had the best help one could ask for. I really cannot understate just how much I appreciate all the help and support I received and how proud I am of this UH. It has been a true honour to serve with all of you and I really could not have asked for a better group of people to serve with.
I want to especially thank taulover. When I approached him and asked him if he would be willing to continue serving as UH Librarian I was quite relieved when he agreed to stay on to assist me. Given just how shocked I was at my new position I really did appreciate him lending me whatever aid and advice I required. I really cannot stress how invaluable taulover was and how utterly grateful I am for everything you did for me this term. Sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, thank you, tau.
Next, Katie, who continued to show why the people of Wintreath have put their trust in her over and over again with her selfless commitment to both her elected position as a UH member and her position as OOI. Her tireless efforts are a model for the region and a high standard that we can all look up to. On my own behalf and on the behalf of both this UH and the region I thank you for all your time and efforts, Katie.
I would be remiss if I failed to mention Chanku, a woman that needs no introduction and who has, quite simply, the most impeccable accomplishments of us all. Her efforts on behalf of this region are beyond reproach and I think it is fair to say that she has continued that proud tradition and service in this current term. When I asked you to be my Speaker Pro Temp, I asked you because I had nothing but the utmost faith in both you and your ability to lead the UH in my place, a faith that I am happy to say has been reaffirmed and reinforced this term. I really cannot understate how valuable and reassuring both your knowledge and presence was for me this term and I thank you for your service, Chanku.
When Elbbsas first announced her campaign I joked that we had nothing but the highest expectations for her. While, at the time, I may have spoken in jest I am happy to say that those expectations have been met and exceeded. As a first time member of the UH you have proven yourself beyond any doubt and acquitted yourself admirably. I am both happy and proud to say that I served with you and I thank you for your service this term.
And last, but most certainly not least, Gabrielle. I know you have expressed doubts about your service this term and I would just like to say that they are unfounded. For a first time member you performed quite well. Any fears or misgivings you have about your performance, in my view, is you being to hard on yourself. You did good. Of that you can rest assured and I thank you for your service this term, Gabrielle.
I would also like to thank the OH, particularly trader, Wufuu and Wintermoot. I am happy to say that the long standing co-operation and teamwork between our two houses has continued this term and the work of the OH has been commendable. On behalf of the UH I thank you all.
And with that I would just like to finish up by thanking everyone once again, truly, thank you all. I could not have asked for a better group of people to serve with and I am incredibly proud of both the work we have done this term and of all of the members of this house. I wish you, all of you, the best going forward. Thank you!
