Hello everyone! This is Excalibur again. After my life got really busy and led me to closing the Heroes of Ixalan, I am back with another idea for a role-play! The lore is as follows.

During the reign of Wintermoot, the entirety of Wintreath was explored. Every species identified, every stone turned, every nook and cranny looked in. The Wintreans then turned their eyes to space, the final frontier. Monarch Wintermoot issued a statement that the Wintrean government would give grants to those who would explore and charter the stars. Now, intrepid explorers begin to make their mark on a new world!

Tech level: Future
Premise: Space exploration
Genre: Sci fi
Setting: Future Wintreath

When you play, you can either take control of a starship or play aboard another player's. When you play aboard another player's ship, you can be chief medic, security officer, engineer, stuff like that. I plan to also set up a tech thread for stuff like near FTL and such.

Very astute! That's precisely what I thought about when creating it. What I was thinking about was that each team would be on their own and do their own thing, without communication unless they were near each other. But I didn't think about that! I'll post a poll about whether their should be one ship, multiple with no communication, or several with communication. Now that I'm thinking about it, I'm kind of leaning towards the latter of the three.

I stated above that players could either create their own ship, or work on another player's ship in positions such as navigator, chief medical officer, and security chief. If each player had their own ship, with no other PC working with them, then they would travel in a group and communicate via comms. Instead of each player having their own job, each ship has their own job; such as mining ship, escort vessel, or survey ship.

EDIT: Also, I see that 5 people have voted, but only 1 person has expressed interest! I know that 1 of the people that voted was me, the second possibly Gerrick, but who were the other 3? If you're interested, speak up!

Interesting question! I am counting on the players to find designs that they like and want to use. Of course, I have the final say in whether a player can use a design, but I'll accept mostly anything.

However, if anybody needs help finding designs, I am always happy to help.

With at least three people expressing interest, I'll post the IC, OOC, Technology, and Character/Ship application threads sometime today or tomorrow. To infinity and beyond!

I apologize for waiting this long to inform you all about the discontinuation of this RP. I understand that it didn't even get off the ground, and this is my second failed attempt at doing so. I was inactive for a time because of some personal events that happened irl, that made me unable to continue. I look forward to be more active  . Thanks for bearing with me.
