That is a good question.
Diabolics are designed to look almost human. They have perfectly symmetrical features, which are modeled after a human. However, they have a larger bone structure than a normal human and are a few feet taller than a normal human. They also pack in as much muscle as possible.
As described in the book, a diabolic, when created correctly, has the muscle of a bear, half human half bird bones, the skin of an elephant, the heart of a kangaroo, and the respiratory system of a whale, all optimized to make them a near flawless humanoid that is light enough to move fast and durable enough to break stone barefisted. Diabolics, once created, undergo extensive cosmetic alteration to meet their master's specifications.
Mayhem in particular is designed with dark brown skin, a matching shade of brown hair, and yellow eyes.
So outwardly, diabolics look like 7ft tall extraordinarily muscular humans with very little in the way of interesting features, internally they're a mess.
Does that answer the question?
