I'm a queer lady living in Seattle with my wife and our three cats. Currently into Gloomhaven, Pokemon Go, and finishing my yearly reading challenges.

The telegram from Wintermoot was the most newbie-friendly of the bunch and I figured this would be a great place to learn more about NationStates and perhaps get involved in government.

I got a lot of telegrams as I'm sure you can imagine, but this was the only one that had a new player FAQ included and referenced their LGBTQ community

I hear great things about Gloomhaven from a couple friends, but never gotten around to getting in on a game. I'm given to understand it's like Descent/Imperial Assault?

I'm on team Valor which is far superior to either Mystic or Instinct. 

Eugh, the special research can be awful. It took me until last week to evolve a magikarp for the mew one since there are no nests around for it. My trainer code is 0051 1214 1311

I've heard Gloomhaven compared to those too, but I've never played them. I'm normally not into campaign board games but the wife and I played our way through all the couch co-op hack-n-slashes we could find and decided to move onto board games. So it more reminds me of the experience of playing Baldur's Gate for the ps2 even though the mechanics are nothing alike.
