After much internal debate, I have finally decided what I'm going to write for NaNoWriMo this year. To my surprise it's not one of my previously started stories, or even something in my fictional universe. No, 'The Hard Contract' is a story I'm writing as an aside to a campaign I'm hoping to run for my Arma 3 group. It follows a particular adventure of NSATS (North Sea Armaments and Tactical Solutions) a private military company who take up a job working for an American Mining Company doing a large project in a south pacific island nation that is in the midst of a bloody civil war between government forces and a rebel faction. The mercs will soon find themselves neck deep in another swamp of murky gray as they navigate their next armed conflict.

I'm for all intents and purposes starting a week early, but hey I probably won't be done with the first chapter until November rolls in, so there! To hold myself accountable I'll be posting the story up here chapter by chapter.
