In before the last person was also 50-50 for scout cavalry, and we all switch over because Dima 100% wanted it.

I think that light infantry is good, my #1 pick would probably have been artillery

You should also make an "either" option as well because they both sound good to me, and some people (like Cinciri) actually have a preference.

I should mention there are only three major differences organization wise between Galiforian Light infantry and Scout Cavalry. 1: the most obvious, Scout Cavalrymen must have horse riding skills. 2: Only men are allowed in the Scouts. 3: Light infantry are deployed in larger groups, typically companies of one to two hundred soldiers, whereas scout squadrons are made up of fifty to eighty.

I'll be closing the vote tomorrow at 5PM eastern US. Right now it's looking like we'll be playing as a Scout Cavalry unit. 

Im sure we'll get this information soon, or have already got it and I'm just oblivious, but what is the aesthetic of the army? Are we talking Napoleonic Era, Medieval, or More WWI/WWII or even modern?

@Cinciri While I haven't discussed the exact aesthetic of the Galiforians yet. This RP takes place in my world's equivalent of the 18th to mid 19th Century, the height of the musketeer. Due to the pick for Galifor, I'll be putting our group down in a conflict from the mid 18th century in particular. Coming back to aesthetics for our group. Cavalry Scouts would look something like a mix between Roger's Rangers from the French and Indian War, and the more classic Elf Ranger aesthetic primarily armed with Rifles and swords however there are a few who carry bows for the purpose of stealth and hunting.

What's the "magic level" of this RP?

Not high for the characters, elves in my world are the most magically attune of the humanoid races, so some may have some knowledge of low level spells like healing or water purification and such, but these aren't arcane college trained mages they're mostly working class people.

Are we just using horses or can we use "elf specific" steeds? I have some ideas in mind
