In the interest of keeping RP alive after what I hope will be a great overhaul, it is vital for our lore and guild masters to realise that they have taken a great responsibility upon themselves. Please read this guide thoroughly. RP (and the guild) will not survive if some major paradigm shifts don't occur.
I don't think I laid out the original mission for the guild properly. It was meant to be a proper ministry, as we all recognised keeping RP alive required more than just a Jarl and Thane of Culture. If you sit on the council, you are basically the Jarls of RP, and any ministry should strive to be proactive when faced with problems. If hosts go inactive (and I am as guilty of this as anyone else) our role should not be to just look on as the situation deteriorates, but 1. Report that a clear problem exists and 2. Come up with a possible solution. None of these were done, and that, to me indicates a fundamental misunderstanding of what this guild was designed for, which can only be my failure, as I was the one who started it.
We must learn from this failure and strive not to have it repeated.
Please read this guide and reflect long and hard on whether you will choose to accept the responsibility of being a lore master, guild master or part of the Council. If you decide not to accept this responsibility, then it is perfectly fine, just please be honest with yourself.
