Turn 4taulover 1: Enter PAHIKO into the six-letter keyboard. You go to the six-letter keyboard and type “PAHIKO.” You hear a mechanism click and, without wasting any more time, you yank the drawer open. At first you don’t see anything. Then, rolling from your pull, a round and black torch rolls forward and bumps into the front of the drawer. The lens has a slight purple tint to it. You scan over the rest of the drawer, but it appears to be empty.
You have acquired one (1) torch.
Gerrick 1: Press the suitcase's silver center button, then press yellow, green, green. You activate the suitcase and watch the colours flash. Once it’s done you press different buttons: yellow, green, then green.
The suitcase hums mechanically. A moment later you hear two clicking sounds.
You dutifully examine the suitcase once more to find the sources. On the top end of the suitcase near the handle one flap has opened up. You can make out some cables. One is a power cable, another is an RCA connector. You tug on them. Like a vacuum cleaner, both cables extend under your pull.
The back of the suitcase has a keycard reader visible, and more importantly another one of those strange tiles.
You have acquired one (1) tile. That makes four of them, now.
Gerrick 2: Look underneath and beside the right bedside drawer. You check around the bedside drawer. It’s damp and dark. You try pulling out the top drawer to try look into the locked bottom drawer, but it doesn’t look like the two are connected. You try to shift the drawer entirely, but it seems fixed to the ground.
Gerrick 3: Flip the light switch in the hallway.Oh, right. You’ve been walking around in semi-darkness. Who needs a torch when you have a lightswitch? You turn on the light and everything is suddenly less scary and less muted. Even the plugged hole in the wall seems smaller in the light.
El Fiji Grande 1: Look under the mattress. You heave the double bed's mattress up. It takes you some time to shimmy around the entire bed and get eyes on every surface, but there is nothing of note under it.
El Fiji Grande 2: Rotate the suitcase twice counterclockwise on the desk. (Simon is the name of the suitcase, I think)You know that "Simon" was mentioned in that note, but why do you keeping thinking about it? Nothing else in this room mentions it. Regardless, you take the time to spin the suitcase in place, pausing on occasion, and check every angle. Plugs, keycard, the lights on top, the handle, and no apparent way to open it. It's just as heavy as before.
El Fiji Grande 3: Inspect the carpet. In the light the water stains are even more defined. You pick your way around the floor. You find a few more errant lamp bits barely bigger than a nail clipping, but nothing else. The floor is rank with wetness.
(E ??? ana te tangata = The person is ???ing | E pahiko ana te tangata = The person is escaping. Figured that using letters for words in languages Wintreath knows makes the puzzles too easy, so for this one I went for the only language I somewhat know. Other than English, I mean. It’s more an Easter Egg than anything else, hence why I’m typing about it).
(As I previously mentioned, I will not be posting updates for a few days due to other commitments. Because of this, and since I'm slightly scared I've messed up the puzzle in some way, I'll probably use the post to instead clarify points about the Liar's Puzzle. I mean, it's awesome to see people discussing it, but I'm getting increasingly nervous I've made a mistake somewhere. Don't forget that you're able to just try solutions out! I'll still be available to ask and answer clarification questions normally. Good luck!)
