That sounds great ! The only problem is that the republicans would side with themselves and ditto with the democrats. It would then be who has the bigger party. I would use British politics as there are many sides leading to unlikely sides when there is no outright winner.
I think I follow, but I am British and am lost on half the things you said which was that there are different factions inside and across the parties? Anyway, great idea and would love to join.

And these internal factions sometimes collaborate with internal factions from another party when they have mutual interests within Congress. A British example I guess would be many of the old guard New Labour politicians openly collaborating with the Tories to undermine Corbyn's faction within the Labour Party out of their mutual interest in preserving Capitalism.
