Consulate of Union of Confederate Regions

I actually really like how you use the flags for the consulates, nice touch.
Anyways... thanx for the consulate and allowing us to establish relations between our two regions.
If you would like to know more about UCR don't hesitate to ask, though if it's about our history, you will more then likely find it in our library.

I will post our updates from our region as they come but for now there isn't much to update.
The region practically runs itself.
Right now we are just focused on developing our sister region conventist federation which is dedicated to character rp rather then map rp.

On our end, we aim to produce a regional dispatch once a month and occasionally send over other things like event invites once in awhile. Usually we post them to our partner region's forum, but I assume you have a Discord channel for things like that.

yes our discord is where most of our stuff happens... it's also where our interregional updates are... but if you can't find anyone to join the discord as an ambassador you could just post your event invites here and i'll pass them on

Here are some minor updates from us...

• We have set up another sister region primarily to target recruitment of R/D players, this region is known as wild horde - https://www.nationstates.net/region=wild_horde
• We have started our own endotarting program which has dramatically increased our average endorsement rank
• We have a new Minister of Ceremonies, temporarily. The Minister of Ceremonies oversees all things for RP. The previous minister is currently to busy to do the task so he is temporarily stepping down.

I have to admit, I don't see the point in having multiple regions...seems to me it's a lot more work or a lot more money to recruit people to multiple regions versus one, and R/D isn't exactly the greatest thing to be involved with nowadays.

I mean, setting up a good jump point/puppet storage region is always good for R/D. Recruiting separately is certainly an interesting tactic, though I'm not sure how well that works.

I'm curious what you intend to do as the new emperor about the reasons behind those things.

Edit: It was my understanding that Atero resigned his positions and left the community. Does he still associate with UCR?

He is not in the community and no longer associated

Official Notice of Consulate Closure

Wintreath announces the severance of relations with Union of Confederate Regions, effective immediately.

Since establishing relations with UCR several days ago, we have become aware of allegations against the founder and emperor of the region, as well as allegations of deeply questionable conduct in the region's Discord server. As we had not sent UCR an ambassador yet, we have no experience with their Discord and could not speak to the validity of these allegations. However, the unprecedented actions of NationStates moderation in forbidding links to it would appear to be an objective confirmation of them.

Wintreath strongly believes in a region's sovereign right to develop the culture and principles it desires, and we're proud of our own open, personable, and free-wheeling culture. However, with this right comes the responsibility to do so in a way that keeps its community and members safe, and it is becoming apparent that UCR failed in that responsibility. Knowing this, we cannot in good conscience maintain ties with this region, and thus we choose not to.
