I've been suspicious of Hydra for a while, so I'll accuse:Hydra as well

That's 6 of the 9 people we could expect to vote (since Ahkmala and Mathyland appear to be out, and Hydra obviously can't be expected to vote for himself).
I should think that qualifies as 'a significant number of other players'.

Paranoia was rampant, suspicion was thrown at the drop of a hat and everyone was on edge. Finally, things came to a head with the accusation of a specific person, Hydra. As they were dragged off, it was revealed that they were....THE SPY.

Congratulations to all players on catching the spy! And to Hydra, well played and better luck next time!

Y'know, what's funny is, the only reason I accused Hydra was because he asked me that last question. I was planning to ask him a followup to my previous question, because I wasn't sure about his answer.
But because I couldn't ask him that question, I went through everybody else's posts to see if they'd said anything suspicious - but everyone had said something that at least implied where we were, whereas Hydra was studiously noncommittal.

Of course in hindsight, I was also trying to be as vague as possible, so, phew, lucky guess.

Wintermoot was the other one that I was significant suspicion of but Hydra seemed more suspicious.  @Hydra did you have an idea of the location?  I was worried when Sapphiron asked about Timor Leste since that seemed to me like a dead giveaway of the location but it seems like you might not have figured that out.

Wait, isn't @Hydra allowed one final guess before @North reveals the location?

Or were there some special rules in place (as North said in the OP) that we're not aware of?

Well, it would be pretty obvious if I let the Spy guess. Also, I dont recall that happening before. But that might just be me.

Also, I had another rule for the spy. He either needed to guess where he was or guess 3 peoples identity.

I could've won a week ago lol I had all the roles figured out but wanted to wait... I thought I'd have a chance to guess first...

Well, it would be pretty obvious if I let the Spy guess. Also, I dont recall that happening before. But that might just be me.

Usually if the rules allow for the spy to guess a final time, their role is already revealed; who wins/loses is then determined by whether they guess correctly.

Crushita lost Summersend Spyfall 2016 (Ice Hotel). Which was hosted by Hydra, who didn't let Crush guess before closing the game (though in that case it wasn't an issue because he had no idea where the location was), so I suppose there's precedent here.

Wait, you knew both the locations and the three roles? It's looking like you only lost on a technicality, by not posting fast enough before North closed the game.

Though I did go back and look at the PM I sent you. I see that I misspoke to you at the beginning. Damn. I'm sorry about that. It was supposed to be either or.

I've always understood that if the people guess then the game is over. Same thing happened with the last Spyfall game I hosted.

At first, I thought it was a World War, with many countries coming together to work together, but after a while, it became apparant that it wasn't a warzone (at least not yet) with Gerrick's mention of the cafe and the types of food eaten. The only other explanation in my mind for a bunch of people coming together was the UN, and it made sense that they'd have food from all over the world and a visitor's center. Pengu's mention of seeing all colors here cemented the location in my mind as I waited to figure out the roles. Honestly, I don't even remember reading the Timor Leste response.   

The first role I figured out was Robin since he mentioned the "Okroshka", giving away his Russian background.
Kane's role confused me for the longest time since the red, white, and blue are all too common on flags, so I was stuck between USA and France.
I thought I knew another one, but I guess I really didn't. 

Anyway, the game was quite fun and I think that everyone portrayed their roles well.

What threw me off was the colors question, when he me what colors I saw.  It seemed unusual to ask given the setting and thus various colors (at least for the flags outside), so I was suspicious from that point.
