Wait what? I thought you were going to open the voting or something?

Crush announced the order in which things would occur, instead of opening each phase with a statement. So...it was opened starting Feb 15th, and he actually left it open 2 extra days.
But...that was probably confusing for people who are used to people saying 'okay that was the Pro-Quayle arguments; now open the Anti-Quayle arguments' and so on.

Given the lack of posts, it appeared as if it were just inactivity on Crush's part. Especially since he delineated the format for the Quaylians to give their arguments when that began, but then never described how the anti-Quaylians would do so, nor how we were supposed to vote.

With the current debate going on, I will open a vote on whether the conclave should continue and my previous decision be ignored, or if it should be upheld. It will last 2 days, closing on the 21st of February at 11:59 EST and will immediately come into effect at that point.

I seem to set it wrong! Just listen to the poll then.

The people have spoken! We shall reopen the conclave.
Since there was so much time for Pro-Quayle arguments I now call upon arguments for all of those against the prophethood of Dan Quayle. They will have 2 days from this post to present their arguments.

Well I gave an extra day for anti-Qualyian arguments and nothing was presented!

There shall now be a public vote in this thread! All interested parties may cast one ballot for or against his prophet hood, keeping in mind the argument(s) presented! I of course, as pope, will not vote.

I vote for the potatoe and the prophethood of Vice President Quayle

I vote that we have more brands of shiny things to take as souvenirs for these conclaves.  And cakes.

My vote shall agree with Tau. Dan Quayle should be considered a prophet and so should potatoe be accepted as the one true spelling.
