Or it's treason.
Apart from shitty prequel memes, there are other reasons you should elect me to the UH.
First and foremost, there are some legal areas I would like to shore up - this whole recent PNG business has exposed some areas which I think need work, because I'm of a mind that if we strip someone of citizenship, we either need to provide a clear-cut route to rehabilitation, or completely axe them from the community. None of this half-assed 'well we hoped he would see this as a wake-up call and get help'. To that end, I would like to split Revocation into two parts - one Revocation-with-Rehabilitation (which would be essentially probationary citizenship, probably with a mentor to work with and ensure progress), and one Revocation-with-Ostracism (where in the true spirit of Athenian Ostracization, they're kicked out for 10 years and then they can come back. Why 10 years? People seem to believe in second chances, so there needs to be some light at the end of the tunnel - but by god will I make that tunnel long).
Additionally, I think that we need to establish a clear-cut legal definition of evidence - and more importantly, where evidence is necessary.
Secondly, I think it's time we went harder on the NS-community side of things, because that's where the majority of our growth comes from. Part of that means taking the time to integrate the RMB community into things, and I feel like that can be accomplished with heavier promotion of the Discord. The other part of that is more serious moderation of that in the first place, to prevent some of the flaming that seems to routinely go on, and I'd like to introduce legislation to ensure that the Delegate has some responsibility for moderating, which, if he would rather not do, he may appoint 1-2 moderators to do on his behalf.
Thirdly, Crush has expressed a desire to burn down the UH for a while now, and if we continue not really doing very much with it, I'm in favor of that too, since now that we're electing Thanes, we could relatively easily restructure the government such that Thanes also fill the roles that UH members have now (with a caveat that appointed ones (currently including myself, full disclosure) do not have voting rights, but can still debate in the UH).
