ROUND 1
The combatants spread around the arena and got prepared to fight. Mathyland, Moonstomp III, Lord Spud, and Shaman Tau each got into an offensive stance, while Wolfgang von Strucker, Elbbsas, and Jenora Ellantor Magicbane the Arcane Trickster got into defensive stances.
Wolfgang, the Octarine Paladin, quickly kneeled with his head hanging down and his eyes closed and said a Prayer, asking his gods to protect and help him in the coming battle. A halo -- faint enough that it might lead one to believe it just to be their imagination -- began to glow around his head, and he then stood back up, ready to fight.
Mathyland, the Cyan Ranger, clenched his sword and decided to make the first attack of the game. He ran and slashed at Elbbsas, though her defensive stance caused the blow to glance and so deal only 4 damage.
Lord Spud, the Heliotrope Mystic, raised his sword towards Tau, Moonstomp, and Elbbsas and bellowed a harrowing roar, causing the three to Rout in distress.
Tau, the Octarine Druid, crouched and began to flex his muscles, which began to shift and convulse in an unnatural manner. His limbs, hair, and nails grew rapidly until he no longer looked like a human but rather a Beast. He gave out a sick yell that sounded like a cross between a scream and a howl and stood ready to fight.
Jenora, the Heliotrope Bard, slowly waved her hands into a strange shape then pointed them towards Wolfgang. A red haze began to float around the Paladin's head, causing him to cower in Fear.
Elbbsas, the Orange Mystic, stood on her toes and got low to the ground, making her nimble to Dodge any incoming attacks.
Moonstomp, the Cyan Druid, did nothing, so a drunk audience member threw his coconut drink at him, which dealt 4 damage, then let out a loud, annoying laugh.
