I could say "it's been a rough week" or "I had RL stuff", but truth is that it was Dwarf Fortress keeping this post from you. I'll try to write more and have a little less !!Fun!!.

Unrelated: goddamn I've just realized what a solid teamup Mesmer and Optical would be. Both with sort of light-themed powers and mindfuckery...y'all could rebrand and do a pretty solid partner gig as 'Smoke and Mirrors'.

I reckon that the best combo of these fellows is still Aztech and Mesmer though. =D

sorry lol was tired and I'm busy IRL I won't do that again.

When the time comes, I have combos ready for every other allied character. That's what I like about being a support character who probably couldn't solo well at all, but doesn't need to.

I also have counters ready for every other allied character, but that seems less important to discuss. Hopefully that won't have to come up. Just like to be prepared. Hey, you never know, DM could always pull a "Mirror Match" on us.

I just realized you liked his post anyway, making the ratio even bigger.

I genuinely have been using a separate document for tracking Optical's hypotheses, purely so I'm not pulling them out of thin air. So, those numbers actually correspond to things.

For Instance, I had this lovely bit of thought on her part

Why were the FBI knocking on my door late at night?
Reason for question: The superhuman went missing yesterday morning. Why spend so long before contacting me?
      - Note: Corroborate this information. Who was it, what happened, when did it happen, what are their powers, who are their friends, why was the cape in hospital.
Hypothesis 1: It takes time to agree on gathering capes and tracking them down. This simply was the first time they could reach me.
      - Doubt 1: If they could find me, they likely have had me in their databases for some time. Again, why wait until the night the day after the event?
Hypothesis 2: They were intending to use a midnight invasion as a way to keep me off balance and threatened. Possibly to nudge me into thinking I had no choice other than to accept, in case money did not motivate me?
      - Support 1: My initial hypothesis was a robber.
      - Support 2: My ongoing hypotheses continually suggest them as baiting me into a trap.
      - Support 3: They opened with quote “FBI, power crimes. Open up” end quote, and only elaborated after I hesitated.
      - Counter to S3: Post hesitation, they did elaborate.
Hypothesis 3: These men have spent the day gathering capes, and I was just late on the list.
      - Doubt 1: I am fairly certain that the FBI employ more than two agents.
Hypothesis 4: This is a trap.
      - Note: Unless evidence supporting this hypothesis becomes evident, please stop bringing this up.
Conclusion: This query seems no longer relevant.

I think I accidentally'd a character who analyses/takes conspiracy theories seriously. This is fun.

I think Optical would approve, both of the Mirror thing and the preparedness. She sticks with the people she's contracted with, after all.

I should make a character whose only power is the ability to curse anyone he wants to die on their 50th birthday.

Slow burn.

Oh my god. If you did that to someone who was older than 50, since they would now be fated to die on their since-passed 50th birthday, they would be immortal.

Speaking of immortal, a character that's immortal but not invulnerable.

After everyone/most people respond to the end of the meeting, you all will get a call from the FBI directing you to where you should go next. So, make your alliances and whatnot now.
