I mean obviously mercator projection is convenient, but I have to say equal area would be nice.  Map 1 is ok, and while it definitely is strategically diverse, I'm not sure how the currents would work there, and I don't particularly enjoy the orientation, but maps are easily flipped.  Something about all the mass in the southwest and not the northeast of a map makes me uneasy

But overall I do think map 1 is pretty cool!! 

@Gerrick do you still have the seeds so we could potentially change map projections?

So now what?

Well we should probably get a claims thread going, I suppose.  Unless anyone else wants to weigh in on the map.  Also:  we should probably claim less than 50% of the world's land area so we can allow new people to join essentially... whenever.  That way we shouldn't have the stagnation we usually see with roleplays eventually dying out when the playerbase gets too small.

I think we still have to decide upon a map. Unless I'm wrong.

I prefer Map 1, if only because the polygon tiles make me mildly nauseous.
