Of course not.

Can you tell so far what has been agreed on and what is going to happen?

So far we've just agreed on a map and time period!! (Great depression WWII Cold war progression)

So if we are choosing which time period, I propose the year 1947. That year is just before the Cold War and after WWII.

Now, who shall start this thing up?

Would anyone be interested in hosting a new game? If not, I would be interested.

We already chose a time period, as was laid out by BraveSirRobin. And the Cold War started pretty much right when WWII ended, as the two superpowers coming out of the war had opposing philosophies, too much strength, and no common enemy. The USA and USSR hated each other before WWII began and only worked together because of the threats we were facing. Once that was over, we went right back to hating each other.

Though this world wouldn't be exactly Earth, of course.  It's similar, but that's just the tech layout.  Geopolitically I'd imagine things might be similar, but I think our goal is to avoid crazy impressive superpowers (at least at the beginning).  Thus it was chosen to be a time when the great colonial empires are (traditionally) collapsing and new forms of control are required in order to ensure "superpower" status on the world stage.  Plus, the added bonus there was that we could just add new countries or let them collapse at any time depending on the player base!!

Except I'd end up being a superpower anyway because of my knowledge of technology during this time period and my ability to design superior machines.

Yep, hence "1947" doesn't make any sense because we're on another timeline, not set on Earth even.

Alright then, so when are we going to begin RPing or do we still need to sort some more details? If so, then what are they?

Well currently I'm trying to find a helpful soul who can transfer Map 1 into some programme or another and blow it up to a more usable size, because I suck at most things graphic  :/

I am very excited for a WWII technology setting, I get to break out all the vehicles I have "Designed" ((aka modified from various country projects)) for that era, seeing as Yaim Rusur's main role in anything is military.

I'd consider the current size fairly usable... it's better than a pixelated image at least, IMO.
