WAIT WE WERE MAKING A MAP??!! I would've helped, ya know (if I actually paid attention to the guild posts). Anyway, I'd like a big, chilly northern landmass with a milder southern half and with a strait for sea traffic passing through/next to it, make of that what you will.

I was messing around with the map gen and I combined several maps together to make this shitty edit. (I'm terrible at photoshopping) You can clearly see the borders between the different maps I generated lol.

In my defense there will probably be at the most something like ten people playing any one forum RP, and usually less than that. I can't see the reason we shouldn't carve it up as soon as we can as opposed to waiting for other players that may never come. In my experience the time you have the most players is right when it starts anyway. Ultimately it's your decision, I'm just stating why I claimed what I did.

Our main concern with claiming large swaths of land is to prevent the inevitable nation RP's turn into a load of 10 superpowers and very few minor, less relevant countries.  I was thinking we could do something like colonies, and much smaller main areas (think size of U.K. vs size of British Empire, France vs French Empire, Netherlands vs Dutch Empire, etc etc).  Not only would that make it far easier for new players to join (revolutions in colonies/granting independence is generally not an uncommon thing, especially during large scale warfare and the period after WWII in our world).  Plus that would make things more interesting.

Yep, plus I'd rather not see the map get basically completely filled again, since that puts latecoming players off.

Also Disclaimer:  I'm horrendous with MS Paint and stuff so any help on the blowing up the map to a usable size/claim marking would be greatly appreciated
