I've never had anyone do that, but that sounds lovely! I wish they would...usually people come up and tell me that I look like a rock star or something.

And odd ducklings are usually the best kind.

So I ended up getting a keyboard today on impulse, because I've been wanting to get back into learning piano...and keyboards are a good way to start.  I ended up getting the keyboard, stand, and seat for $42 (after tax and their round up thing) at my work.  Which ended up being quite a steal.  The keyboard and stand alone are going for either $129.99 (plus $26.99 shipping) or $150 (plus $26.99 shipping) on Amazon.

In other words, those two items alone should have never even been sold in the store (items worth over $100 get sent to E-sales to go in the online auction site), but whoever was doing electric that day (which amusingly wasn't me, since I always do my research if presented with a brand new looking Radioshack item) screwed up, priced the keyboard at $29.99, and put it on the sales floor (and the cashier priced the keyboard and stand as one thing).

So I just had to take advantage of that.  I'll let them know tomorrow so they can feel like idiots for pricing it that low, let alone pricing it in the first place.  ;D

Once I get more into the groove of it perhaps.  I still need to learn to write music first, and I need a piano composition book before I can do that. 

@Wintermoot: Maybe once I learn it a bit and get it down to where even more complicated music becomes easy, I'll take requests.    Until then, you'd be stuck to hearing just the regular notes and no accompaniment, since I can at least do the former by ear.

I say "cut" when, in actuality, I mean "shave majority of it off in a fit of excitement due to getting this job I really, really wanted".

@Vinaza - Most jobs would not be happy with a hairstyle like that, but I'm assuming that yours is and I'm happy for that! Is that a nose piercing too?

It is! I got my septum pierced a few months back as part of a birthday celebration; have been in talks with a few artists about the work I want done on my thighs (tattooing, not piercing in this regard; I don't think my muscles would like that much). I want to keep my back clear in case I actually take that trip to get Ryan Ouelette's work on me.

But yeah, I walked in first day and got a lot of compliments for it; it's not nearly as risque (I suppose? I thought it rather tame, all things considered) as it seems. Most of my hair is gone on all sides, tapers in the middle. I've still got quite a bit left on top, so I simply style as necessary. I'm definitely learning what a well-maintained set of curlers can do!

Wikipedia describes it quick and clean as "the act of suspending a human body from hooks that have been put through body piercings. These piercings are temporary and are performed just prior to the actual suspension."

I've had the pleasure of speaking with a few people that have done suspension (either professionally or as a relaxation method); they've told me that the piercings feel akin to acupuncture, that the act of suspension itself has a way of making you feel weightless and allows you to center yourself. A quick Google search gives you images, if you want them. Warning if you're particularly squeamish about hooks and their placement in bodies, though.

But yeah, skin elasticity. Bleh.
