@Rasdanation, what happens if abstention is the popular vote, but not a unanimous one?

It doesn't matter if the popular vote is abstain, whoever has the most votes on them would be killed. Remember, abstain is just a vote to not vote, not a vote to have no one die.

Also, what was your post before you edited it, Justinian?

I forget tbh. Something about pirating stolen dvds?

Scratch that. Now I remember. I asked about the roles only to find it all perfectly explained in the first page. So I edited it out of embarassment.

A piece of advice: in forum games like Werewolf, don't edit anything ever.

I have no intention of abstaining.There is rarely such a thing as clear evidence in this game, so I'm not going to let this devolve into another Werewolf I or VI. All these abstentions make it far too easy for wolves to blend in, and if everyone does it, we're far more likely to see innocents get lynched by RNG, as we outnumber the wolves. I'm going to shift the focus to those who've been fairly inactive but managing to survive thus far. They are more than welcome to defend themselves.

You have a good point. The reason for my relative inactivity is because I am rather busy IRL. Not much time to check these things. I will take your advice, though.

So instead of merely defending yourself, like Ashton did when I voted for him, your immediate reaction is to vote for me, without providing any sort of reason why I might be one of the pirates?

Am I the only one who's suspicious of this?

Also, Justinian, I'd be interested in hearing why you keep voting for Ashton, jokes aside. Do you know something the rest of us don't?

If it really is just a joke vote, however, I'd urge you to really get involved in the discussion and make a true effort at finding the baddies, since I believe you'd do well.

I have to agree with Laurentus on this, especially since we're down to 9 players and this game could end very quickly.  If I'm correct, since the Amnesiac has become a Pirate (and they take on someone's actual role), they're added to the pirates' numbers, meaning if it gets down to 3 players and 3 pirates, the game is over.   I'm hoping @Rasdanation can clarify whether that guess is correct or not.

If it's correct though, if we end up choosing wrong in the next two days, it could cost us the game by the end of that day.

So I'd really like to ask any of you who are voting jokingly or randomly to really pay attention to what's been going on.  There's plenty that's been said to where there's really no need for random voting...and abstaining could prove to be counterproductive.

In any case, we have 3 chances to catch a bad guy.  4 if we count the captain since a wrong target on their part will cost us a player and then the captain as well the following night.

Would anyone care to share any suspects in mind?

I'm afraid I have to go along with Laurentus on this one. If we're operating on inactivity as a measure of possible guilt due to the plausible logical connection with the Pirates, there's really only one choice.

Taulover, BraveSirRobin and myself would want Aragonn dead if we were wolves, so they are definitely on my list.

The only people here who I'm convinced aren't wolves are Pengu ,Ashton and Gerrick. Pengu because of his argument in defending himself in the previous day phase, and Gerrick because it would make exactly zero sense to vote for Hydra if he happened to be his comrade. It could be a master plan to divert suspicion off himself (ahem, some precedent for this exists), but doing it so early in the game is counter-productive, especially as he'd be practically inviting the Seer to scan him.

Ashton has been cleared because he would have wound up on the chopping block with Hydra's vote for him, and ended up surviving because he, in turn voted for Hydra.

Lapoc gave very little reason to vote for me, but it could be purely reactionary. I would say he, BraveSirRobin and Justinian Ezkantion are amongst those who are suspicious because they've been surviving while being fairly inactive, and taulover since, unfortunately, he also happens to be a Hyperian and would rightly conclude Aragonn had to go.

But on the other hand, Pengu did randomly vote for Gerrick, which seems unlike him.

Then again, Aragonn is a well-established Wintreath Werewolf player, so I wouldn't rule out people other than Hyperians choosing to kill him.

Not entirely.  At the moment up until my vote, Ashton already had 2 votes against him, and I haven't been convinced of him being a bad guy, so I just picked someone that didn't have a vote on them yet.

I would have voted for myself like Tau did at first, but between the fact that you yourself were putting the idea of me being suspicious in people's heads (to where even Ashton used that in his reasoning for his vote towards me) and the history of things like that turning into bandwagons when I've been a good guy (seriously, it happened a lot on 10KI), I really didn't want to take that chance that I'd end up starting my own bandwagon.

Who are your suspects at the moment?

And also, I'll just point out again that no matter how forceful my arguments happen to be, I have no better ideas as to who the guilty are than anyone else, so please don't be afraid to call me out on my bullshit.
