Great to see you join! I always wondered why you don't just chance your name to Hydra as it's so much easier, and that's what everyone already calls you.

Well, you might be able to convince them to help you, especially if the one who killed them is still alive and they want vengeance. Sapphiron took the ability after all -- but then again, the other ability was healing, which is basically the same effect.

Ah, yeah that makes sense as I've done similar things as well. Back when I was a kid and played Runescape, my character's name was Dracowolf1 (give me a break I was like 12). Then, I don't remember why, but I was given the ability to change my name once and just "Dracowolf" was available, but I couldn't lose the 1

@Rasdanation , @Wintermoot , @Eldarion , @Sapphiron , and @xXTheHydraXx , please PM me what your starting stance is (Offensive or Defensive), what your action will be, and, if your action requires a target, who your target is. You will have until 5:00pm EDT on August 13 to do so. Remember, you can perform one of three actions right now: Attack, Use an Ability, or Block if you're in Defensive Stance (technically you can also switch stance, but you get to choose your stance at the beginning, so why? ). I will most likely end the round as soon as I get all 5 combatants' actions to speed up the game and save time.

Discussion may be posted by combatants and spectators alike, so enjoy!

Is the teaming up/backstabbing done via PM with other contestants or is it just chance?

Yeah, you can make alliances secretly with PMs or just talk to each other here if you don't care who sees. Whatever you want to do.

Alright, so I done goofed. I was supposed to post the combat order before asking you to send your actions because it would affect some of your abilities and I'm sure some of your decisions. Here is the combat order:

I can either just post the results or you can send me a new action and I'll redo the round. I'll go by whatever the majority decide. Just post below or PM. Really sorry about that. At least this problem was caught before the Summersend Festival .

I should also clarify a couple things:

Actions literally happen in the combat order. If you perform an ability that requires another player to perform an action before you but they perform it after you (though on the same turn) it won't work. Also, abilities only last for the duration of the round in which you perform it (unless it says otherwise). Each ability cooldown is three turns, meaning if you perform it on round 1 then you can't perform it again until round 4. Ability cooldowns are separate, however, so you are still able to perform your other ability on the round after the first.

I have a concern...if abilities only last until the end of the round, and I'm the last person in the round, then that would make Death Aura unusable, wouldn't it? Seeing that nobody would be attacking me from the time I cast it to the end of the round.

In this current combat order, yes exactly. So you'd only use Death Aura if you can act before someone(s) who you think will attack you can act (its best use is if you act before others and you're pretty sure you'd get attacked in the round, especially if multiple people will). That's why I'm supposed to post the combat order before you all send me your actions and why I brought up my mess up. You'd choose your actions based on how your actions will take place and how you think others will act.

Yeah, this is why I'm saying you can choose a different action for this round now that you know the combat order. From now on, I will post the combat order each round before asking you to send me your action.

Also, as I said in response to Rasdanation above, the combat order will change for each round. So, for each round, I'll post a combat order for the round, you'll send me your actions, then I'll post the results.

I also gave people the option to choose 2 abilities from 3 possible to give you the choice if one doesn't sound like you'd use it very much. Having abilities last until you act again was something I was thinking about, but as you said, others may just choose to act in a way to give it no effect. Though this could be an aspect of the game if that's what you all want.

I appreciate the feedback as I want the game to work as best it can. Sorry about all the confusion.

I'll assume if I don't get one by 5pm EDT tomorrow, then you'll just keep the same action (though if you'd tell you'll keep the same action, then that'd be awesome to speed things up). Hopefully we can get back on track after my hiccup.
