  • Well then....

I'm going to Vote: Aethelia. I don't have any reasons for it since we quite literally have nothing to work with so far.

    But why me?
Doesn't seem very nice to just pick on one new player twice in a row for no reason :(

  • You're right, It's not fair. But this game isn't very fair, is it? The wolves have the starting advantage of knowing who is on their side and who the enemy is while everyone else is struggling to understand what is going on and who the wolves could be. And if memory serves me well, you never trust the new guys. One or more tend to be wolves.

    • To sit back hoping that someday, some way, someone will make things right is to go on feeding the crocodile, hoping he will eat you last - but eat you he will.

  • ...That is not a good reason to vote for someone, unless you know something about North not actually distributing the roles at random that I do not, everyone should be just as likely to have any role.

Here is a good reason to vote for someone: A wolf, not needing to actively search for the wolves, will try to minimize how many enemies they make in the day phase, and if they must have an enemy, better a meek one. Perhaps a new player who didn't look too confident.

You say "we quite literally have nothing to work with so far". I disagree. What we have to work with is one player who admits to picking on new players for no good reason, after spending most of Day 1 helping distract everyone from voting, and who apparently has the experience in werewolf games to know better than to claim that we still have nothing to work with now, as if you're really just trying to convince us that we have nothing to work with, as it would be in the werewolves best interest that we continue to believe that, ensuring more no-consensus votes that favor the werewolf side.

    Therefore
    Vote: Aragonn.

I thought if you were on our side, you might reconsider, and actually try to identify a werewolf role, but your priority on not making an enemy of anyone else instead makes you look very suspicious right now.

  • You're quite the thinker, aren't you? I must admit I underestimated you. However, my reason behind voting for you in particular this day phase is not what you conjecture it to be, though I am not at liberty to share it at this moment.

The circumstances of my previous evidence combined with the presentation of new evidence has led me to rethink my evaluation and come to a different conclusion. I now am not completely sure that Aethelia is a wolf.

I change my vote to Abstain for now while I reconsider all the evidence in front of me.

Also @Aethelia, there's a flaw in your logic. If wolves truly wanted to stay under the radar, instead of only voting for one person over and over, which usually raises red flags like it did with you, they would abstain over and over. Just putting that out there.

  • Huh, I have to admit your response was not what I expected.
Well, part of Werewolf is being willing to admit when wrong, clearly the part about you insisting on a vote perpetually without a reason is not true now, so, sorry about that then. And I think I know what you mean by something else you mentioned, so...

    Unvote Aragonn.

I was worried that we'd only have random votes after what happened on Day 1, and that we might have a situation where possibly one of the only other experienced players here was a werewolf. I am glad this happened just to find out that this is not as likely the case as I thought.

Though, speaking of Abstain votes, I don't disagree, I've seen that in previous games too and am aware that low information games are better for the werewolf side, but would add that it's not just an abstain vote that would be suspicious, but someone being asked, say on the previous page, why they abstained, and ignoring the question to talk about something irrelevant, perhaps because they are overly afraid that the answer will be incriminating? Perhaps I should get a second opinion for putting a vote on that, but that seems like a good starting point, at the very least to call out to see if anything useful comes out of it. That's not the only thing I'm thinking right now, but at the top of my list at the moment.

  • Hate to double post, but apparently edits are discouraged and I think I got the wrong syntax, don't want that unvote to not count and take out someone useful just because I didn't type it the way it's supposed to be written on this forum:

    Vote Abstain.

    There, that's better.

  • Hmm, I can't tell if that was a genuine conversation or clever ruse by two werewolves to make each other seem innocent.

Also, @North , I thought day phases were 48 hours, not 24, right?

9)The first day phase will last for 72 hours (plus a bit of time to calculate the results and whatever), and after that, day phases will last for 48 hours.
    :P

Anyway, I agree with Gerrick. Wolves do want to make themselves look innocent and that conversation may be a way.

  • Sorry about not responding earlier Deku, I completely missed your question yesterday. I abstained because I thought if nobody got enough votes, nobody would get lynched. Turns out I was wrong about that, so I'll likely cast a proper vote during this day, based on how things play out.

Why would a wolf "randomly" vote for the other wolf then not change their vote when it became clear that there was going to be a chance that their fellow wolf would get voted off? Your suspicions are wrongfully placed.

  • I will Vote: Gerrick for two reasons. First, he took partial evidence (in Werewolf, everything is evidence) and cast it in a light which made me seem like a wolf. Second is because he already has a vote for him, and I need to try and save my ass.
