Title
1. This shall be titled the New Speaker Selection Act

Amendments
2. Section 8 of the Procedural Rules of the Underhusen shall be modified to read as follows:

8. At the conclusion of each Underhusen election, the Monarch shall begin a tournament between all Skrifa to determine the new Speaker. The tournament shall be a round-robin style over the Trading Card Game/Collectible Card Game Yu-Gi-Oh where the winner becomes the speaker.

3. Section 8(a) and 8(b) shall be considered repealed.
4. Section 12(a) shall be modified to read as follows:

  (a) The Speaker must select a Speaker pro tempore within one hundred sixty-eight (168) hours of being elected. Should the Speaker fail to select a Speaker pro tempore, the Speaker pro tempore is automatically selected with the selected being the runner-up in the tournament. Should two or more Skrifa be tied runner-up, the Monarch shall host a tournament of Yu-Gi-Oh between the two runner-ups

So fufilling a campaign promise, although I'm still open to change Yu-Gi-Oh to Magic the Gathering. It's not like it seems the UH has much else going on :|

I fully support this act, although I move that the Skrifa must battle in a game of Cards Against Humanity in the IRC to determine the next Speaker.

Only seems right since that game deals with tackling some very difficult...issues and getting to know how your fellow skrifa would think and react in different situations.

Perhaps we should change it to Magic: The Gathering?

I hate that game, mostly because of the people who play it. Yu-gi-oh players just wanna duel, but Magic players always get this shit-eating grin and air of superiority when you tell them you like Yu-gi-oh.

-chuckles- Well to be fair I've kinda seen that happen, but not often (maybe it's just due to the people I play Magic with and some of the better MtG players I know also play Yu-Gi-Oh!)

I've also proposed chess as well...

If we're going to play chess, you may as well declare me the Speaker-for-Life, right now.

XD I actually made a similar joke on the IRC when I brought it up.

Although with Chess...or MtG...or Yu-Gi-Oh! I would never be the Speaker again.
