Greetings once again, Wintreath. I want to start by saying I'm incredibly proud of how Wintreath, its legislature, and its roleplaying community have grown over the year I've been here and over the few short months I've been active. I proudly want to continue contributing to such a wonderful region.

I'll let my record stand for itself here. During the two terms I've served in the Underhusen, I've drafted and/or amended many of the bills put forth. I've been present for every discussion and vote, and I have experience spearheading the discussion on these. In the case of the Open Assembly debate, I've been one of the most active in describing my thoughts, and I will strive to continue discussion on that to ratify a legislative system that works for Wintreath.

I'm incredibly grateful to have served as Underhusen Speaker as well, and I feel I have duly taken on the responsibilities of the post. I can only hope that the experience shows how I've addressed the needs of the legislature and of the region as a whole. Not to mention I updated the laws page and made reading the laws an easier and clearer task.

As I've always done, I'll happily open up my platform for debate. I openly welcome the active discussion

You did, but I did see that scene eventually. Honestly one of the best episodes of the series, despite "my" death. (Then again, I haven't had the time to watch any more than two episodes past that, which is a total shame on my part.) I'm just going to keep playing that trope to death.

Why should I vote for you?

What would you do differently this term?

Hi Barnes! Welcome to the campaign...I'm still having a difficult time deciding who to vote for, so I have some questions to ask and some insights that I'd like to share with you.

I am glad that you have become so involved in the region...you've been a steady, active, and mature presence in our government, and you've demonstrated a great ability to get things organized, such as getting the Wintreath Academy set up and where it is. It has also been great getting to know you the last few weeks, and I hope that we continue to become closer friends.

With all that being said, what do you feel your weaknesses are? What do you wish you could have done or handled better and in what way? You are the Speaker of the outgoing session of the Underhusen...do you believe that this session reflected well on you or not, and why?

Why should I vote for you? I believe I've already established that with my campaign thread, but once again, I will let my record of activity, knowledgeability, work ethic, and bill authorship stand behind me, along with the promise of reaching out to the constituency and fixing the legislature into something that Wintreath can agree with.

And if you don't...

You'll have to flee the city with Lucas because I will have been killed by Frank and he might go after you next

What would you do differently this term? The question implies that I should be doing something differently in the first place, for which the automatic jump of differing one's actions from term to term is unnecessary, but if I had to choose, it would be to maintain a more open line with the public so they can feel free to insert their comments, questions, and concerns without fear of ridicule for their ideas.

What do you feel your weaknesses are? I tend to be a perfectionist, meaning that I tend to think out my posts a little too thoroughly before jotting them down, and also means I sometimes have an insistence on taking up all the workload for a project.

What do you wish you could have differently and in what way? Someone brought up the idea of drafting quasi-Federalist Papers for the region in encouragement of ratifying the Open Assembly. In all seriousness, that is the only real situation that I can think of that the Underhusen as a whole (and myself included) could have handled differently in terms of response to the public. In order to solve that and kill unpopular laws earlier, we need to more actively involve the citizenry in our lawmaking process so there isn't a disconnect between the Underhusen and the rest of Wintreath. To avoid this kind of alienation, I have proposed in Robin's thread to instate "ask your representative" threads and to encourage surveys to be sent out either publicly or privately.

Do you feel this Underhusen session has reflected well on you? If anything, it has only strengthened my activity and the activity of the entire Underhusen. We've had active discussions unlike previous terms and we buckled down to pass important legislation, in total passing seven bills in two months, and four of the five eligible bills of ours passed the Overhusen, including the Storting Reformation Amendment Act which had been in the works for months before. Not that we've fully eliminated doubts about activity in the Underhusen, but this term has most definitely been a start for gaining a more active and involved legislature.

My only real concern about Barnes is his inexperience, and lack of knowledge about our laws when compared to some of our other members. But that concern is completely outweighed by just how active he is, and how much he can take the initiative. Besides, the only way to run is to crawl first, and in time, I'm sure you'll become just as knowledgeable about all the laws as everyone else, because you just have that drive to be the best you can possibly be.

I think your work ethic is well beyond reproach, and you can deliver your points of view in a direct-but-professional manner. You also recognise when you are wrong, and don't ever make a big deal of it.

So I'm more than happy with my vote for you.
