  • I was actually surprised people didn't jump at Lumen earlier.  Usually the newer, more excited players are the first to die.  :P

  • Alright, in the future, the good guy power roles need to get their telepathic coordination down a little better.  :P Only one successful scan, while setting a record for Seer survival? That's pretty ridiculous.

Other than that, great game all around.  :D

@Bootsie: I need to know... Why did you use your negation so early???

@Pengu: Perhaps, similar to the Wendigo with the Psychos, the Player could have been invulnerable until all the other good guy power roles were killed?

On an unrelated note, I'm quite pleased that it was Colby who was the Wendigo.

@Psychopaths: What prompted you to discuss me as a potential target on Night 2, and then not come back to me until much later? Just curious.

That's actually not a bad idea either.  I hadn't considered making it opposite to the Head wolf role.  That's something to consider for an Elder role in the future, since Elders typically can scan OR defend.  Normally they have 2 lives, but it'd be interesting to see them in that form.

  • I made the mistake of thinking I could manipulate you, @Colberius X. I also thought other people might be Seers, not you. I wanted to kill Sapph first too, but if I recall correctly, he suspected a link between me and Lumen, thus making us afraid that he could have been the Seer, and thus untouchable. How well that worked out. :P

  • Actually, I was pretty close on my original logic of people acting as if they are innocent are guilty, just I went to the wrong person acting innocent. (If you don't know what I mean, I went after VidiLune, who was acting innocent and was, but Lumenland acted innocent but wasn't) Too bad I gave up on that logic after seeing VidiLune was truly innocent... if I stuck with the logic, Lumenland wouldn't of been much of a problem later in the game.

I tend to be very uncooperative when it comes to being manipulated. Particularly when I'm involved in manipulation of my own.  ;)

  • @Ras:

And look how well that ended. :P

By your logic, one innocent did die. Sure, Lumen was guilty, but that puts us at 50% odds in this game with people who act innocently being guilty. The truth is that there isn't really all that much more to go on than hard evidence by power roles, or going with our gut. If people had gone with their guts when Aragonn, Wintermoot, Barnes and later Sapphiron had suspected me, things could have been over a lot more quickly, lol.

One of the biggest challenges when playing as the wolf, at least for me, was trying to play as forceful and domineering as I usually do, while knowing anyone I bandwagon on will at the very least not be a psychopath.

    @Colby:

Hey, while you didn't know my identity I was able to manipulate you quite well. :P

But yes. Well played. Goading me into killing you was the final nail in my coffin.

I didn't know your identity for the first half of the game, and I certainly didn't trust you during that time! :P I'm intrigued as to how you believe you manipulated me. It may well be true, but I don't see it.

I was actually quite nervous that I hadn't pushed you enough.  And another part of me was nervous that you suspected I was the Seer (or had scanned me the night before) and so wouldn't take the bait.

  • I pretty much let go of any notion of you not suspecting me, but I regard it as a small victory that you didn't pick up on everyone's "feelings" when they came after me. That's about as much as I would have dared to manipulate you, and all the other Valerians.

As I've said to you in PM, I became way too paranoid while the Wolf. I was uncomfortable with having to lie so often, and I kept getting very paranoid that all the others who picked up something was wrong were the Seers. In the end, Sapphiron's remarkable insight into the link between me and Lumenland had me fairly convinced that he was the Seer, so I didn't even consider that you might be. If anything, I thought that the Seer had scanned me, and then you, thus explaining your sudden certainty. I had made it my strategy not to kill the Seer, but the people I thought might eventually be scanned, or had already been scanned. Thus Aragonn's death.

My reasoning was that since the game had dragged on so long, I couldn't risk ever killing the Seer since the probability that they had scanned me would grow with each round that passed, but I definitely didn't want him/her to gain ever more allies either, and thus I opted for that strategy.

You also did an excellent job of being subtle enough to avoid getting targeted.

That said, I'm curious about @xXTheHydraXx 's decision to target Rasdanation, and also curious whether you figured out that Lumen and I were the Psychopaths, and thus avoided killing us?
