The Palais De Penguon


Welcome to Palais de Penguon, the home of Gabriel Sebastian Penguon of Cain.  Admission to explore the palace is 30 Krones.  Perhaps you'd care to check out the bedrooms and drift into the beautiful dream land?



The cost is then 370 Krones a night, and reservations must be made in advance.  Guests who stay with us may be treated to a lovely continental breakfast, lunch, and dinner in our beautiful dining hall.



My chefs serve only the best to guests staying with us, and we have some of the best seafood in the land!  If you're wishing for some entertainment, you should checkout the ballroom where we have dance parties, fencing duels, and the occasional karaoke night.



If that's not your thing, you're welcome to explore our gardens and take some time to relax.  Both open to guests and to tour-goers.

Valentines Day is Coming
Happy February everyone!  As you know, Valentines Day is is slowly approaching.  Next week, the Palais will be having a special to celebrate the holiday.  So for the next 2 weeks, you can stay with us here at the Palais De Penguon for only 185 Krones a night, and we'll be inviting some of the most romantic bands to be playing as well as having Couples Karaoke.  We'll also be having a romantic buffet, and some festive candles decorating the gardens to help lighten the mood.  Must have a partner to be able to take part in this special.  Tours will be closed to couples only and will be confined to select areas and the garden.

If you're single, please enjoy 24 access to our bar with all drinks half off for the next two weeks.

I would urge people to join a House. It really does enrich the regional experience quite a bit. It's nice to have a little community within a community, and it's a great way to form lasting friendships in this region. Penguon, Heinrich, Meindhert and all the other Houses are excellent. They just need more members.

Good tidings everyone!  As you may know, the Palais de Penguon is a bustling place with much for everyone to do.  Soon, we'll be re-opening our Casino as well as opening our Theater and Cinema sections, which will require more manpower for the Palais.  In more startling news, Senior Vice President Albirdus Peacock, Chairman Emunual Flockus, and co-chairs Owlbert Hootian and Balder Egleson have all suffered terminal illnesses and passed away, so the Palais is looking for capable people to take their spots.

If you would like to apply, please send mail to our CEO Gabriel Penguon with your name, the position you're applying for, your favorite bird (and saying "Penguin" won't get you extra points), and why you deserve the job/what makes you a good fit.

A pretentious looking butler looks at you with an eyebrow raised, as he sighs.  "Oh dear, you're going to apply to be Senior Vice President?  I'd better warn the others..." he says in one of those refined, over the top sophisticated voices.

"While I do so...please do be sure to read the fine print before you ask such an outrageous question.  That is...IF you have such a skill at your disposal, which is entirely questionable..." he says as he holds the article in front of you and points to the section.

Hello Sir *courtsey* , I just send a mail like asked.

But I wanted to know, if there is anything I should know about The Palais de Penguon?

The butler from earlier looks at VidiLune as she walks in, scanning her for a second.  "Ah, yes.  You must be our new bartender.  You look just as radiant as your picture, my lady."  he replies with a small, genuine smile on his face.

"Allow me to show you the bar at which you'll be working at, and I can explain on the way.  If you would." He adds as he begins to escort you down the halls.

"The Palais de Penguon was built quite some time ago, though I must apologize as the year escapes me at the moment.  But my master Gabriel comes from a long line that first arrived here when Cain was still in its earliest development.  Now, they didn't first discover nor found the town, but his earliest ancestor was chosen by the people to run it since it needed a leader, and the current ones were terrible.

In those days, the Palais hadn't been built, but his manor was in this same spot.  However, a century ago the manor caught fire and burned down.  Some out there will say that it's because it was a citizen who committed arson, but I assure you that's not the case.  Tragically, it was actually the current in line at the time, Sebastian T. Penguon, who burned it down...and I'm ashamed to say it was because he was a bit...intoxicated at the time.

After a week of recovering at the local tavern, he decided to rebuild the manor, but even more splendidly than before.  And that is how the Palais de Penguon came to be.  Since then, each generation has added their own..."flair" to the place to continue its magnificence.  Some of the additions have been excellent, some interesting.  Master Gabriel's late father, Francisco T. Penguon, added the bar and the casino during his wild years...the latter being closed down for a while for renovations.  Master Gabriel is adding both a movie theater and an actual theater, which I think are both splendid ideas.  Do you have any questions so far?"

*blush* Thank you Sir.

*Smile* I do think that a movie theater and a theater are wonderful ideas.
I don't have any question as for now, but if anything come to mind I'll ask you.

"You're very welcome Miss, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any sort of questions." the butler replied with a smile as the two continued their walk until they reached an area leading to a beautifully designed bar area.



"And this is your bar, miss.  I hope that you enjoy your position here, and as I said...if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask for me."  He says as he hands your his card with the name "Gerard Verleon, Head Butler at Palais De. Penguon" on it.  He then gives you a bow and walks off to resume his duties near the front of the Palais.
