Hello, it's Barnes again. I just wanted to say I'm incredibly grateful to have been a part of the Underhusen and the wonderful Wintreath community. I, like a few of the other candidates here, have only been active for a few months, but I believe they have been a productive few months, and I would like to continue that for a second term in the Underhusen. For my reelection campaign, I wanted to note that I:

• have experience drafting Underhusen bills over my latest term
• have been active in Underhusen discussions and present for every vote
• will continue immediate work on reforming the Underhusen for the benefit of all Wintreans
• will work my hardest to ensure that the civil and legislative needs of Wintreath are fulfilled

I absolutely applaud the efforts that Wintreath has undertaken these past two months, and with your help, I'd like to continue Wintreath's wonderful growth.

I have no questions for you Barnes, but I simply wanted to stop by and say that I fully support your campaign.  I thought you were an excellent addition to the UH team last term, and I very much hope I get to look forward to seeing you fill another term.

I for one firmly believe Barnes would make an excellent addition to the Ministry of Information too.

But I do have a question for you. How is it that you seemed to have missed the requirement for a Secretary in the UH, especially as it is among the first things listed in the procedural rules?

Thank you, Pengu and Laurentus. After scouring the laws of Wintreath, I have finally found the relevant section, located in the Underhusen board of this forum and not in the "Laws of Wintreath" tab. If that isn't freely available to the public, I will make note of it here:

2.  Any Skrifa may introduce proposals to the Underhusen at any time after the selection of the Speaker.
      (a) At the beginning of the term, the Speaker shall designate one Skrifa other than him/herself or the Speaker pro tempore as Secretary of the Underhusen, who shall have the responsibility to post newly introduced proposals to the Citizens' Platform and to notify Citizens of new proposals through various means of communication.

I know that the "Laws" tab has been lacking in updates recently, especially of those specifically passed during the last term. I will therefore motion that as part of my term, I will ensure that every law and amended law is made available for public access due to their inherent right to current information in an easily-catalogued location. If the person who is personally responsible for updating cannot be myself, I will pressure whoever is in charge of that page to keep it current.

I will unfortunately agree that the actual tab is probably as updated as much as either of the better archive topics are.

The Speaker of the Underhusen and Chairman of the Overhusen have the ability to edit the laws page. I personally try to make sure that Constitutional Amendments and Decrees are up to date, but they're the ones with the responsibility for statutory law and procedural rules.
