A Message from his most Supreme (Former) Jarl of Culturus MinistrishipGreetings fellow Wintreath members! First off, let me say that it's been one yell of a year of 2015, and I look forward to diving into 2016 and seeing the new exciting opportunities that arise. So far it's been off to a great start, and I'm very glad to see that the new year hasn't caused activity to slow down. Being as this is still the winter decline, it's made me very proud of all of you to see that hasn't stopped anything, and in fact Wintreath is still highly active. Keep up the great work everyone, and let's make 2016 an excellent year!
Choose Your Own Adventure Delayed, Choose Your Own Werewolf to FollowAs you no doubt remember, CYOA was originally slated to start the new year. However, due to personal issues in my own offline life, the starting time has been delayed. Currently, the date for signups for CYOA is in the air since the game is still being written, but it is slated for February since I'm halfway done with two of the scripts. To make up for the delay, Werewolf signups will begin the week after CYOA signups begin, and likewise it'll have the companion theme of Choose Your Own Werewolf...where for the first time it'll be the players that ultimately decide all of the elements in how the game plays out. As of now, CYOA is slated for February 2nd with Werewolf a week behind that...but be prepared for the former, and therefore the latter, being pushed back just a bit later so that I can finish fine-tuning the scripts.

Cat of the DayPicard Versus Chunk from GooniesWinthreath's Own HaikusLast issue, the challenge was given of writing Haikus, which I was given some lovely submissions in the topic. Here are the Haikus that were submitted for your eyes:
Minnesota's cold
Stand outside in the winter
Death in five minutes-North
Winter is not cold
Wintermoot filled with sadness
Warm winters suck ass-Wintermoot
Dashing through the snow,
In a one-horse open sleigh,
O'er the fields... oh wait...-Barnes
Great Haikus guys!
The Issued ChallengeWith Valentines day approaching, I thought it'd be great to get in a poetry sort of mood, and we just finished with Haikus last issue, so why not go all of the way? To keep with the spirit of Valentines day, the challenge for this issue is to write a love poem. This could be a serious one for someone you may have feelings for, a general one with no intended subject/feelings on the holiday, or for those of you who don't celebrate/enjoy the holiday, a parody poem works as well.
Like before, submissions are both welcome in the thread as well as PM, and will be posted in the next issue unless otherwise requested by the person submitting.
Feel free to buy one of your poets for a total of 500 Krone each.
