Even in a region that often recognizes members for their contributions, it's understood that some high honours must be given rarely and only to those whose loyalty to the region and dedication to making it a better place for all make them unquestionably worthy. Someone whose constant presence and selfless toil has made them into a pillar of the community. Tonight, I have the great pleasure of elevating someone I feel is truly worthy into the Nobility of the region, the highest honour I can bestow as Monarch.
Since becoming a Citizen back in March,
@Laurentus has been in some way involved in nearly every initiative, proposal, and event our region has been involved with. He has contributed to countless legislative proposals, including the proposals during the current Constitutional Convention, both as a Citizen and on occasion as a member of the Underhusen, and has offered thoughtful and insightful advice on issues facing our region as a member of the Riksråd and as Thane of Foreign Affairs. His posts and activity alone is second only to mine, and has helped us become a more active, conversant community.
More specifically, Laurentus was the person behind the guilds system that we're in the process of piloting, which he utilized in spectacular fashion to bring people together and revive replaying in the region, a quest which has frustrated many in the past. In large part thanks to his efforts, roleplaying has not only been revived, but is now a pillar of activity in the region which has led to the shattering of activity records in December and January. In this role, he has shown the difference that one person can make when they are dedicated and work with others to bring good things to the community.
Finally, not only does Lauentus have an outstanding record of dedication and achievement, but an equally outstanding record of friendship in the region, seen not only in the positions of trust and power he has been granted by both the Monarchy and the Citizenry, but also in receiving honours such as Wintreath's Finest for the months of July and December as well as the entire year of 2015. And now, this honour, which I feel as Monarch is uniquely deserved given his contributions, accomplishments, loyalty, and irreplaceable presence in our region. In recognition of all those things, tonight I have the pleasure of confering this title of nobility upon him.
Thus, by proclamation of the Monarch on this 815th day since the founding of the region, Laurentus is hereby risen into the nobility of Wintreath as the Count of Highever, in recognition of his accomplishments for the betterment of Frozen Realm of Wintreath, its community, and the people within it. Additionally, the House of Valeria shall be known henceforth as the Noble House of Valeria, whose members shall have all the rights and responsibilities afforded to a proper Noble House of this region.Congratulations, and my thanks to all you have done for Wintreath.
