This is the new OOC thread to discuss whatever you want relating to this RP.

As of now, I would like to discuss better names for this RP, or if I should just stick with it.

Also, could I get @Wintermoot to move these threads. I don't have an IC set up yet, so I may need to ask again.

Overview:

This RP is set in the past, where the first tribes of Wintreath are emerging into the environment. These tribes must face each other, either in a friendly or hostile manner, and together, they must face the harsh conditions of the environment.

So how big our our tribes?  15,000?  And can they be other species with origins on the Homeworld, too?  (Like from the USS Wintreath RP?)

That sounds pretty reasonable since the U.S. Census taken in 2000 has Native American populations ranging from 2,000 to 280,000 people per one tribal grouping. (Of course this is now, and not when they were thriving.) As for species, I was originally going with just humans.

Like then, 280,000 it is!! Always have to have the largest group possible! 

The Census only shows what tribal ethnicity people identify as, though. For example, the 280,000 people number is the number of Cherokee. Even now, they aren't in one single entity (there are three federally recognized tribes of Cherokee and many other smaller ones).

It's a bit hard for me to see a single political entity with population over several thousand existing prior to the development of "civilization" without collapsing on itself rather quickly. Then of course, you could explain it as being a rather loosely governed nation (which would probably be historically most realistic anyway).

I might be wrong, of course. Personally, I liked your original population estimation.

I apologize for not doing proper research. I was kind of busy IRL and wanted to get a response as fast as possible.

So what's our timetable to start here?  We could get some new folks who expressed interest in RP in the Gatehouse, perhaps...

I was waiting for more people to finish their rough draft of their factbooks (I'm also guilty of not writing one up either).
