Hello, everyone! It’s time to nominate a Game of the Month for January!

As usual, you are allowed to nominate any games that you feel your other fellow Wintreans should try out, as long as they are accessible to most of us. Such games include classic games (eg. GBA , PS1, N64, Dreamcast), flash/java/web games (kongregate.com), free MMO games (onRPG), mobile games and PC games that are easily obtainable. Also, please keep it legal if any of the nominated games have a price tag (aka no illegal downloading).

Nominations will last for three days from this post and the voting will begin immediately after that.

I'm going to take a step back and nominate a non-PC game to start off the new year.

With as popular as the games have been getting, especially with the inclusion of popular characters in the newest one, I'd like to nominate the original Super Smash Bros. for the N64.  It's the game that started all of them, and it's because of the original that we're seeing such awesome upcoming ones for every Nintendo console since.

If anyone needs a link to a good emulator (Project 64) or the Rom, I can provide such. 

Since I can't let this affront to the PCMasterRace stand , I'm going to nominate Sunrider: Mask of Arcadius. It's one of the few visual novels I've played that's successfully attached actual gaming elements...in this case challenging space combat that relies on tactics, the ability to choose optional side-missions, and enhance your ship and weapons with money you earn from them. It's a great marriage of visual novel and space-themed strategy, and it just recently become free to play because they're gearing up to release the next chapter in the series.

One of the games I've most enjoyed during the break, and I think a must-try for anyone into that kind of game, especially now that it's free.

And to piss lord Gaben off for not releasing Half-Life 3, I'll nominate ANOTHER N64 game - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. As Pengu said, if anyone struggles to find an emulator and the ROM, I can point them in the right direction.
