To those of us RPing, it has become pretty clear that Weissreich's lore and work on maps has been invaluable in setting up our continuity as a region. Weissreich has been commended in the past, so to me it would feel cheap to do so again.

I'm not sure what the precedent is for declaring someone a paragon, but I feel like Weissreich deserves it.

What are your thoughts?

I don't really know the precedents either, but I think this sounds like a good idea.

Weissreich's contribution to the roleplay community can certainly be viewed as "invaluable service to the region" so I would agree to declaring him a paragon.

Yes. It also grants the person non-revocable citizenship even if the person leaves.

I'm definitely in favour of this. Weissreich deserves it for all of his work in the region. Heck, just that establishment of setting thread alone qualifies him for the honour, I'd say.  Plus, it's a great Christmas present!

I'd expect the act to be similar to the the Amalya Paragon Act and the Weissreich Commendation Act.

I was looking at those, but I was specifically looking for input as to what accomplishments you all wanted included.

Well, he served on the Riksråd, I think. And the OH. But his extensive work in RP is the main reason.

I'll mention @Wintermoot, since Weissreich's involvement in the region was at its peak before I arrived here, and WM has a much better idea of all the ways in which he helped the region.

EDIT: He also designed our court system. Shouldn't forget that. The solution he came up with wasn't ideal for me, but there's no denying that if he hadn't come up with something, we'd most likely still be bickering over what system to adopt. So that should definitely be included. He also served a good number of terms on the UH, if I'm not mistaken?

Thanks Laurentus! I wrote up an Act regarding the matter. Due to the fact that five Skrifa approve, we could perhaps expedite it?

Also, now that I think about it, this could be a chance to potentially redeem myself from last time

Anyone who doesn't support Weiss getting Paragon status is clearly a communist.  He's more than done his share and made more than enough impact to have such a title.

I'm late to the convo, but I agree with everything that's been said. Weissreich was a major figure in the community, especially in regional law and early roleplay, and his contributions to the region were only limited by his demanding real-life job. I hope he'll be able to return in the future and we can continue to benefit from his skills and his friendship.
