Let's say you were putting together a crew of six people, and you could hire anyone from the region to be on your crew. Who would you hire on and why?

Just an odd community question that came to mind.

Hmm....

Laurentus would be my pilot, probably. HannahB would be my science officer,  Aragonn would be my weapons officer, Wintermoot would be my Medic, Crushita would be the gruff lovable merc and taulover would be the loose cannon war veteran who has a heart of gold.

Lol, I'm going to tag everyone you mentioned there. It was hilarious.

And I'm assuming Wintermoot knows what goes on in this thread, so I'll refrain from mentioning him.

Anyway, limiting me to taking only six would be torture.

I'm wondering why me as medic...are you wanting me to give you a medical exam?

I just thought that your personality best fit with a role that helps people. Also, medical exams couldn't hurt... :]

I guess I can give it a try...I'll need you to take off your clothes though.

Hugsim as my first officer, so I wouldn't have to bother commanding the ship myself. All nordics are naturally great leaders.

HannahB as my chief engineer, as my ship would naturally be a Soviet built nuclear warship.

axis_of_evil as my chief medical officer. For the sole reason of having the only person who outranks me always just as drunk as myself. Besides, in Soviet Sunflotilla, there's always more ensigns to replace the sick ones.

Zaphyr (yes, he counts!) for multiple roles.

Finally for the tactical I'd have to hold interviews as I'm not sure who'd be peaceful enough with adequate tactical elegance (I don't need a raging Plingon roaring and furiously smashing buttons). Let me know if any Vulcans join/have joined the region.

(It's off topic but out of Star Trek I'd pick Riker, Trip, McCoy, Dax and Tuvok. Data is nothing short of cheating. I'm still waiting for Andorians in bridge duties.)

"Why the first four?" you might ask. "Because ve are ze INTP Masterrace, mwuhahaha!" I would answer.

Aragonn would come along to indiscriminately yell "We are Æsir" to unfortunate aliens and make them shit their pants, and Sapphiron would come along to prevent us from wiping out all life in the galaxy, at least until doing so is the next logical step.

Of course, I could make multiple lists depending on the mission parameters. There are excellent people to choose from. @Gabriel (Pengu) would be on just about any other crew, too.

You fell in the middle between INTP/INTJ, if I recall correctly. Frosty and Colby are both ENTJ, and Aragonn is INTJ.
