I don't usually interfere with the hierarchical structure of the RP Guild but as Thane of Culture and a beneficiary of the guild, I would like to strongly encourage an active roleplayer to step up and take the role of Guild Master since Laurentus has resigned from all his positions, which includes the one I have just stated.

I appreciate your enthusiasm, Govindia, but we need someone who is not only active and experienced in RPing but also has experience keeping things organized and encouraging activity. These are things which I have done in New Hyperion and am starting to do here in Wintreath with Laurentus's sudden withdrawal.

Yeah, I thought the GM position was going to be filled by either Aragonn or taulover. Are either of you guys going to accept it?

As for laws on guilds, except for them being under the authority of the Monarchy/ministries there hasn't been much written yet on guilds due to their experimental status. Sapphiron has the authority to make a decision here, but I'd personally be fine with any process the RP guild decides on to choose a leader at this point.

Given the nature of how this guild gets pretty active and real life has a way of biting people in the ass, I'd propose there being two or three GMs so that, in theory, there would be at least one GM available at any point during the day.

To keep things fair and democratic, I say we put it to a vote. First, how many GMs we will have. After, who will be the GM, or GMs. What does everyone else think?

I think we should just go with what Laurentus originally proposed since he was the original GM. But if that's not ok with others, then voting would be the next most acceptable way.

What you can do to help as a GM is a whole lot. What you can do to help become a GM is join the guild, join some RPs, and show off your abilities to get things done.

We still don't have any real rules for GMs, though.  @Laurentus can remain in his position if he doesn't want to vacate it.  I think that's what he said in his resignation, too...
